KRAMPUS Movie Soundtrack By Composer Douglas Pipes Available Dec. 4 - We Are Movie Geeks Releasing this week.
I highly doubt I'll see this in theaters. (I'm not a big fan of going to the movies) but I really can't wait to see this. I hope it doesn't take long for iTunes to release it.
I'll see it Friday since it's my day off and I'll be bored. The movie will bomb partly due to no star power.
Serious question here, is this suppose to be a comedy? The trailers really make me laugh for some reason.
Horror comedy which is close enough to what you're thinking. If it helps, I heard they want it to be kind of like Gremlins.
The Gift and Ex Machina didn't have any big stars in it and they both did successful. It's by the guy of Trick r Treat, so it should be the same tone as that.
Most horror movies don't have big stars. However, they do usually make stars. I wouldn't say it's a cast of unknowns either since stars quite a few comedic actors from popular movies and TV shows.

Saw it tonight. It was alright. I think it may have been over-hyped just a bit. It felt like it dragged a little.
I'm honestly surprised this movie is only down to a 65% on RT. I was expecting it to be more in the 30s.
Been waiting on this for some time...Love Christmas comedies and horror movies..Hopefully it's a good pairing.
In my opinion the mix was a bit uneven. It's sort of a darker version of Gremlins, more horror than Christmas. Spoiler Krampus is meant to only punish the wicked. So a few decent people should have been spared, but instead when Krampus arrives he kills everybody. This interpretation seems to be a demon come to prey on people, sort of a Yuletide version of Sam from TRICK N TREAT. That pretty much means people can't be saved or spared, they're gone. I find it sad that there isn't really a happy ending (it's Christmas after all, no salvation or redemption?), but then that's how the story is written.
