Thought I'd start a thread for Zoo... didn't find another one yet...

The Plot: Violent animal attacks upon humans are occurring all over the world. Jackson Oz, an American zoologist who offers safaris in Africa, begins to notice the animals' strange behavior and takes it upon himself to solve the reason why before these attacks become more coordinated and ferocious.

    The Cast:

    Main
    James Wolk as Jackson Oz
    Kristen Connolly as Jamie Campbell
    Nonso Anozie as Abraham Kenyatta
    Nora Arnezeder as Chloe Tousignant
    Billy Burke as Mitch Morgan

    Recurring
Geoff Stults as FBI Agent Ben Shafer
    Carl Lumbly as Delavane

Watched it this week, was amazed I liked what I saw.... was worried it would be Planet/Dawn of the Apes type of series.

Like the cast, was happy to see Billy Burke back in another series. The guy that plays Abraham, just love him, he was last in NBC's Dracula that I watched.

That's all I'll say for now, no spoilers yet for those who haven't seen it.

Anybody else watching or going to check it out?

I liked it as well. It's a bit like Jurassic Park without the dinosaurs.

I liked it too. Reporter girl is annoying. Coincidence is not causation girl. She has one major bug up her butt towards that company. Very annoyed by people who have it out for a single company like this and just make connections where there are none.

I thought I saw Wallace Langham in one of the commercial trailer promos for the show?

    Well Guess I was wrong.

I probably won't watch this. not a fan of animals rampaging and killing humans. I am surprised James Patterson made this...I would have expected Stephen King to make something like this.

also Carl Lumbly is in this...nice The Martian Manhunter from Justice League.

Definitely liked what I saw so I definitely will be watching. I never read the book so I think I will be ordering this book sometime this week. But I want to know is this an ongoing series like Under the Dome or is this just a miniseries. I certainly hope it's the latter.

I'm really enjoying this show as well. It's been a fun ride every week. Billy Burke had the best burn for that guy with the large taxidermy.

I know, me too, I wasn't holding out much hope for the series, but I've enjoyed each episode, the characters are well done and believable.
Bats taking down a plane too.... and those poor horses. Ouch.
Glad the gang is starting to get together and forming an alliance... seems like they better.

    I LOVED THAT!!!

Missed a couple of eps, but caught up as of last night and I'm liking the series more and more... they're keeping all the different locales and stories suspenseful even tho it's just tidbits each episode.

KNEW the FBI agent, wasn't!! :)

Gotta ask a question of the bat lovers tho.... don't they freeze in the arctic???? If you've seen the ep, you'll understand the question. :)

The bats are really getting a workout in the series tho, those suckers are everywhere. :lol

I'm enjoying it even though the premise is so fucking silly. "The animals are trying to destroy our technology!!!"

Oh how will we ever survive...

I still want to see a massive group of cats killing someone like a pack of ravenous zombies.

And Billy Burke is the shit. Makes me miss Revolution even more now.

Not sure, thats the SILLIEST one of all. I guess their telepathy has a limitless distance as well?
I didnt understand, were those two suppose to be in Antarctica? By themselves? Presumably doing sciencey things? But not being shown doing anything sciencey... Antarctica isnt exactly a tourist attraction...

They also made it sound like it was a sort of vacation to get closer again, but it sure looked like work to me.

Agreed, that's what made me start watching in the first place, but I enjoy the guy playing Abraham as well. He kicks all kinds of ass... literally.

Okay, I seriously thought the whole bat cover up in the arctic was a BIG stretch, where did they come from, how did they survive the flight to their location... okay, IF I believe the solar panels could keep them warm enough to survive their hostile takeover, it still seems unbelievable.
IIRC, they were there doing some sort of research, both scientists, who were married, but going thru a tough time, they agreed to the project so they could 'reconnect'. Had something to do with those birds and plants, I think.

I also agree about Billy Burke. He is always fun to watch, and he was even good in the Twilight movies (if that's not a miracle, I don't know what is). It's a shame Revolution kinda went south in the second season and then got cancelled, but at least they're wrapping that up in comics and now he's on this show.

Im pretty sure they would freeze. Their bodies are so light and wings so thin they couldnt take the cold. Not that a cave is hot(although some are warm and muggy)

Okay, got a couple of eps behind again, but caught up today...

The BEARS... were pretty good, they're getting a much thicker skin. Good for them.

Now the RAT episode... OMG, like Jaime said, Chloe kicks ass....and thankfully Big ol Queen Rat ass. :lol
Had a Ben or Willard feel to the episode, but still pretty good..... wasn't surprised at who Mitch saw at the end of the ep. Hee hee.

I definitely enjoyed the references to Aliens and The Shining in the newest episode.
