Anyone else like Thomas the Tank Eng- oh who am I kidding, who DOESN'T like Thomas? :D

I always loved James as a kid, he was the red one, so I naturally liked him. Lately, though, I've grown a fondness for Mavis, the poor girl. She's a diesel and with a bad crowd, but is a nice person (train?).

My little brother really likes Thomas, too. His favorite movie is "Day of the Diesels" and I think he really likes the Diesels in general.

I'm not sure if I have a favorite episode, but I liked "The great Discovery movie", just seeing how everything unfolded and where everything went was pretty cool.

So, anyone else have any favorite engines? Episodes? Movies?

My 2 year old is insane for Thomas and Friends. That said, I am forced to see/hear the movies often. I prefer "DOTD" and maybe "HOTR".

Yep, I'm trying to make T&F sound all cool.

There's a lot of shit I watch that isn't meant for my age range.

    This isn't one of them.

This was my childhood. Everything I watched was Thomas, Thomas, Thomas. Some of the best stop motion ever.

Thomas was my main thing growing up, I THINK that the concept of living machines is what led me to Transformers.

First it was Thomas, than Pixar Cars, then Transformers.

I still hold a soft spot for Thomas...and if you think that the TF Fandom complains at times try checking out the Thomas Fandumb

Loved it growing up, and my youngest cousin loves it now, so I still have to watch some when he comes by.

Let me guess with no help from Google at all.

There is a strong divide between the Stop Motion G1 purists, and the newer Animated factions.

Gotta be hnest and say that I never watched this show. :S Think was a bit grown up by then. XD But still, something about the designs of the character freaked me out a bit. XD Even my 5 years old niece is bit scared of Thomas. xD

My son and I collected the wooden Thomas trains until we discovered Pixar Cars.

Never watched it. Maybe it didn't exist when I was the intended age.

I dunno man, I'm pretty sure Thomas & Friends has been around in one form or another since the late 40's.

Loved it back when I was little. Had all the wooden trains, the original stories in a big book, and watched the show all the time. I've never cared to revisit it, especially since they switched to shitty animation.

Thomas the Tank Engine was my childhood obsession, didn't grow out of it until I was eight years old (kind of embarrassing, admittedly.)
I still remember seeing Thomas and the Magic Railroad in theaters for my 4th birthday, it's one of my favorite memories... Diesel 10 and Gordon were my favorite Trains, I always thought an interesting custom would be to make a Diesel 10/Movie Bonecrusher hybrid. (because of the big claw thing they both have.)

According to Wikipedia, Thomas started in 1984. Similar train shows were earlier.

Either way, never heard of Thomas until i was in high school. Just never watched that channel. And i was way too old for it when i heard about it.

I had wooden trains as a kid but not a named one.

I haven't seen Thomas and Friends. Is it actually any good?

This was my Childhood before Transformers, I got into it when I was a very little kid.
