yeah, and with the limited time frame that they have, they may put in a 10 min filler in one of the movies of his origin story just for kicks but that is probably it.
Nothing, except that he isn't Peter Parker and I'm not interested in a Spider-Man that isn't Peter Parker.
They better skip the origin because EVERYONE knows it now. I wonder what direction they could go with it, because Sam Raimi did the original DItko-Lee Parker and Marc Webb did the Ultimates Parker. Maybe they should avoid Parker altogether and go with Miles Morales, who sounds like a great Spider-Man and his own hero. And enough with the Goblins and Gwen/MJ, let's try someone else: - Kraven the Hunter - Scorpion - the Vulture - Iceman and Firestar - Spider-Girl - Black Cat - Madam Web (she would be inter-dimensionally interesting) Marvel should be able to make live-action versions of these characters more easily now.
While I've only really known Peter as Spider-Man, I would actually like to se this next film itiration of New York's web-slinger be Miles. Would probably mean another origin story, but it's be different from Pete's. Would also mean a really different look for the costume, which is something I want to see no-matter who it is in the suit.
If any of those leaked emails between Sony & Marvel are anything to go by, it sounds like Marvel plan to (smartly) insert Spidey into things exactly the way they did with the Hulk. He'll already have "been around" to some degree - no more origin time wasting. And it sounds like they want to explore the side of his story dealing with villains (and other Avengers) vs. rehashing the whole teen with a hot neighbor and old aunt in high school crap angle again. What's going to be interesting is how the stand-alone movies still being put out by Sony are hopefully influenced by Marvel since they'll now technically be part of the MCU exactly like Marvel's own stand-alones.
I liked Andrew (a lot more than Tobey), but ASM2 was so bad, that starting fresh is likely the best idea.
I don't care about who plays Spiderman as much as I want Jonah back and causing trouble in multiple Marvel movies. Bring back J.K. Simmons, he was the best thing about the first 3 movies. Also with Jonah back you could movies based at the bugle like the Pulse, Marvels and so on. The bugle is usually the common man's perspective in the Marvel U.
I could totally see them doing a story where he got his powers shortly after the first Avengers movie, allowing him to be a relatively new hero while not retreading an origin story. Again. Something as simple as saying he was inspired by the Avengers and maybe a mention of Uncle Ben (assuming they use Peter again), but they don't need to completely retell his origin.
They could just say that he's been around for years, but is more of local lowbrow hero who occasionally causes big things.
As far as the origin goes, just do what the Spectacular Spider-man animated series did in its first two minutes. However, Peter narrating out of nowhere wouldn't work in a movie where he isn't the central character like we know he is supposed to before the solo movie.
