Either he's getting paid well, having fun doing bad movies or the fact he's on Game of Thrones will still keep his credibility going.

It's about as "Angry Birds" as the live-action Mario movie was "Mario", but it still looks decent in its own right.

What have we become... what is this cruel, unforgiving world we live in... for something so simplistic and innocent as the Angry Birds turned into another shameless mainstream - pandering cashgrab.

But really, Those Furby birds are going to give me nightmares.
The movie itself doesn't seem that bad, the voices are all okay with the exception of the Pig and there seems to be enough of a relation to its source material(more than other video game movies) but the weird humanoid designs and animation style, as well as the poor humour(I didn't laugh once throughout the entire trailer) and seeming lack of a thoughtful plot, make it just seem more obvious what a giant money printer this movie is. I won't judge it too harshly now as it's still a year away, and it could still prove to be decent but I'm not getting my hopes up. And I doubt I'm the best judge since my nostalgic love for the original AB is probably clouding my opinion.

This franchise was fun and cute when it started, and I enjoyed it and it's spinoffs when I was young, but this has gone too far. Not just this "movie" but all the constant ways that Rovio is struggling to keep this franchise alive with its sequels and spinoffs(And only the Piggies, Star Wars and Transformers ones were any good). All this is too much. It's been going on for long enough. The AB franchise needs to die.

Or at least get rid of those legs.

The game was mainstream years ago.

 

Looks no better or worse than pretty much every other non-Pixar animated movie nowadays. Though I am HELLA sick of all these same ex-SNL actors always voicing what feels like every movie now.

 

I think it sums it up perfectly.

I think the voice cast is rather fitting for their characters.

It's amusing hearing Homer and Marge's love song and Michael Jackson's Bad in the trailer...both surprisingly work here.

 

It looks pretty funny. I'll give it a go.

 

So this is about birds going through anger management. Sure, why not?

 

I love all the comedians and actors in this, but the trailer didn't really make me laugh.

Pretty much. It's trying really hard to get a reaction, but it just wasn't getting one. For example, the final scene in the trailer was way too long, and the punchline wasn't even worth the build up. I usually like long awkward silence for humor, but the timing and the set up of that joke was off.

 

I guess what I got at work was the second trailer but it isn't anywhere near the length or content of this one which is weird.
But the other trailer has red bird, yellow bird, and big bombing bird climbing c,offs thirsty and they find this lake pond thing next to a cliff and they swim in it and drink from it gargling the water etc then from a hole in the cliff the big eagle comes out and spreads its wings a big 360 shot around him (which wasn't fully rendered yet) and the other birds hide in fear and then the eagle takes like a two minute piss in the lake the other birds were just swimming and drinking in. While he takes this long piss the yellow bird is scratching his tongue with a rock, the red bird is vomiting and the black bird is staring in awe.
So expect some potty humor as well with this movie.

 

Just reading that description made me cringe. Ugh.
