Although, if you're putting the option against Justice League, I might rather put the gamble on the hit-or-miss unknown variable, rather than the one that is almost guaranteed to be dour, cynical, and pretentious dreck.

 

It does kinda make sense for there to be some kind of director’s cut for this too. One of Suicide Squad’s biggest problems is the notoriously bad editing and redundant exposition. Granted, a new cut definitely won’t fix the bad dialogue, the bad cinematography, and some of the weaker performances. There was also an extended cut already released but I suspect that had nothing to do with Ayer in the same way that David Fincher had nothing to do with the Assembly Cut of Alien 3.

 

I’ll take a director’s cut of the Academy Award winning Suicide Squad.

Just like I’ll happily take the Snyder Cut.

Let’s get a Lord and Miller Cut while we are At it.

I don’t think I would want a Lucas Cut; I want the whole damn ST cut.

 

Movie was great as it was! Only thing I’d change is give Slipknot and Kstanna intros like the rest just cause.

 

Ayer furthermore says that Robin's murder was supposed to be seen, but producer/writer Geoff Johns vetoed it.

Bad move there. Under the Red Hood is an awesome tale because it didn't shy away from the tragedy that created the Hood.

 

You're assuming there'd be a connection between Death in the Family and whatever they were planning to do in the Snyderverse. You're also assuming that in a universe that Snyder intended to be darker and more "grounded" that Jason (if the Robin that died was Jason) would be somehow brought back to life to become Red Hood. More likely he'd stay dead like in DKR, since Snyder obviously worships (but doesn't really understand) the work of Frank Miller.

Some of the stuff on that list would have been nice to see. But I am 100% glad they cut Harley and Floyd hooking up. What a gigantic misstep that would have been.

Anyway, looking back on this film, it was less offensively bad at the time than BvS. But it hasn't aged well even in the short time since its release.

He wanted her to look like golden fake Galadriel, instead of obviously evil Grudge witch.

 

That is a very stylish tux and I think it works well for the Joker.
