Eh...I'm not really sure how to feel about this.

I doubt very much it would be connected to the movies at all. Assuming this thing actually gets greenlighted, if it ends up on the CW I suspect it might tie into Arrow and the Flash instead, since CW seems content for its DC shows to remain a separate universe from the films. And if it were picked up by Fox (unlikely, given how quickly they like to bury their sci-fi shows) alongside Gotham, they could just set it in the future of that world AFTER Batman, Superman, etc. have already come into being. But that's doubtful.

And even then, I can also see Superman's existence within the show, even if relegated to a cameo, becoming a problem. If Kara ends up in over her head, that part of the GA that doesn't read comics is likely to be screaming "Where her cousin???" at the screen (yes, I suppose it's likely that OTHER superheroes could have her back, but if Superman's around, what the hell's he doing that's so important he can't bail his own kin out? Not everybody would want to sit through a two-hour movie to find out, and SAYING he's off on something more important would become just plain cheap after a while). Better to say that he either died fighting Doomsday and DIDN'T come back, or less gloomily that he saved the world from an asteroid laced with gold kryptonite and permanently lost his powers in his process and is now working as a mechanic living with Lois in Illinois (you can tell I miss the alternate DC futures where Superman DOESN'T become a gloomy SOB who abandons all faith in humankind the second Lois Lane drops over prematurely).

I might go for this if it's like the New 52 Supergirl - isolated and angry. I really like that take on the character during the occasional issue when she's not embroiled in some kind of crossover.

I hate Angry Supergirl myself. I was more of a fan of her in the later issues of the last series with Sterling Gates writing her around issue 34- the 60's.

A Supergirl show would be interesting. Especially if it was another CW show and connected to Arrow and The Flash. They've said that they don't have any plans to connect the cinimatec and television universes, so I doubt they would have Cavill cameo. That said, I would like to see Superman have some sort of cameo, maybe even reacurring, roll on this show. I wouldn't want it to be cannon to Smallville, but I would like to see Tom Welling in such a role. Finally give him a chance to suit up as the Man of Steel.

They can always have him mysteriously disappear for some reason and no one knows where he went.

Other heroes deserve their own shows instead of Supergirl.

    Meh.

They'll have to try very hard to make this any good.

I have yet to see a super hero tv series that has impressed me. I feel Superman and family are particularly held back by the medium.

Now I'm sure DC/WB are just fucking with me. I have a lot of time for Supergirl, but TV? I'm having flashbacks to Smallville and what a trite pile of bollocks that was; and while I didn't get far enough in it to see their version of Kara Zor-El, my instincts are telling me it would just have shat me to tears.

You know what, do your worst you miserable bastards - Krypton's Last Daughter survived Darkseid AND the New52 reboot; she'll survive whatever shit you do to her.

    Give me a list.

A question many of her fans (including myself) have been asking for fucking years and not once have I seen an answer I would deem satisfactory, but that's mainly because I'm an unreasonable prick when it comes to Wonder Woman.

Honestly Wonder Woman isn't the easiest character to do justice.

    Fox? Since they got Gotham?

    I know.

But it's how to portray Wonder Woman is the actual problem, it's not her fantasy setting but getting the perfect balance of tough warrior but still not too arrogant or well I don't want to start a flamewar so I won't say the word but I hope you understand what I mean.

Super heroes are the hot thing right now, there may be a few networks that would pick it up, I'm just worried that there will be too many shows, and audiences will get sick of the genre fast.
