That my friend is because the Pontiac G8 is in fact, the Holden (GM in Aus) Commodore with a Pontiac front and back end on it.

Observe the HSV (Holden Special Vehicles, so think the Z28 trim) flavor of the car. Currently not available in Supercharged form, but it is only a matter of time.....



The rivalry between the Commodore and the Falcon is interchangable with the Camaro and Mustang thing in the US.
