Thank you for moving my post from tech support, I appreciate it quite a bit. However, I don't see it in the Radicons Customs forum?
Hello. The new link for your Lego custom Menasor should be: https://www.tfw2005.com/boards/threads/lego-moc-stunticons-menasor.1180870/ Hopefully this helps!
Thanks, much appreciated! I do like the figure too but it's been box up and put in storage for the past 2+ years now since I've moved. Time is a luxury in short supply for me these days, sadly, or I'd be opening and playing with more of my stuff.
It's OK. The fine print gets everyone, lol. The contest would've been cool but the short window to submit art is a bit short too. Only one week, and my wife doesn't have the time anyway. Thanks for sharing the contest though!
Do you worry about being the 'old dad' because you're older than your wife? I'm in a similar situation with my girlfriend. I'm a number of years older than her, and I always feel like by the time she's ready to go to that next step that I'm going to be old and grey.
I do sometimes but then I realize that my wife and I are a team. It's something we both have to be 100% on board with. She's already a great mom to our 2 dogs so if/when we're ready for a kid, I'm sure she'll be a great mom to him/her too. I'm only 5+ more years until I retire from the military so maybe when I'm closer to that time things will settle down to the point where we're both comfortable with having a kid.
I had to look up Peter Cullen's other voice work roles and I didn't know he played the leader of the Crab Nasties from MLP. XD http://www.tfw2005.com/boards/threads/question-about-peter-cullens-roles.1045522/page-2
Hope its nothing serious with your pretty pup and that she'll soon be as right as rain. Lol well now you know, that at one point in his career, he was a real crab.
Aww, thank you! That means a lot. Nana can be a bit of a crabby patty, lol, but no one likes to be limping in pain so I can understand. She used to run around and play a lot too but she can't keep up with Chester (he's not even a year old yet). She's feeling much better now but still needs to take it easy. Thanks again!
Really looking forward to getting MPM-5 Barricade (my fave movieverse Decepticon aside from Starscream) but I'm waiting patiently for preorders to open up for the Takara Tomy version. I do have a preorder tentatively placed at TFSource but I'm not a fan of the $100 USD price tag (at least it's better than $110 that he's going for now at a lot of other places).
Been checking Amazon.co.jp, AmiAmi, and HLJ almost everyday for said TT preorders but so far, no luck. Apparently he'll be released in April so maybe next month in March something will show up suddenly/short notice, just like preorders for TT MPM-3 and MPM-4 did. You planning on getting the Hasbro version or the TT version?
Quite the comment chain my friend! Sucks being away from your car, hope it's in good hands. Wonder how the TT version will look (as cosmetics have proven different both times). I'm eyeing HLJ tentatively, but I'm currently more immersed in spending for other hobbies I also agree $100 is steep. More reason for me to play waiting game
Thank you, that's sweet of her to say so! My pups are definitely a handful though, lol, but my wife and I love 'em. Doesn't help that Nanako (who's generally reserved and even a bit anti-social) and Chester (happy-go-lucky and bursting with way too much energy) are as different from each other personality-wise as night and day. Hope your Mugsy is doing well!
Lol. Trust me, we know all about dogs who are a handful. Thank you. He is indeed doing well. Frisky lil booger.
I'm getting close to that edge with BBTS myself. I've had to return a lot of defective items lately. They're fighting me on all of them.
The missus says that it would be best for us to adopt a male dog since in her experience (she used to live on a farm back in Brazil and had loads of animals growing up), female dogs would sometimes get into fights with other females and their rivalry would be lifelong and bitter, but between a female and a male, it's a little easier to handle. So we'd like to get a boy to pair up with Nanako.
We are concerned with how she'd would react to this possible new dog; she can be quite snappy and aggressive with other animals, but it's mostly out of fear, I think, since Nana is really a coward at heart, lol. It'll be a slow process but we hope it'll work out since we both think Nana really needs a friend to bond with and to keep her entertained (she gets into trouble when she's bored, lol).
That makes sense. I hope they will be able to get along and yeah I wouldn't buy from a pet store either, though many of our pet stores here in the US host adoptions for dogs and cats from local shelters. *crossing fingers real hard for you guys and for the cute poochie too*
our neighbors really liked alize' because of his pretty coloring and gentle temperment. they asked us once to try and let him breed with their dog. that didn't go well, she intimidated him and he would just lie there while she humped him. poor alize'. lol
Haha, poor guy. That does sound like something our dog Nanako would do too. She really does think she's a guy and not a girl, lol. The handful of times I left her with a friend and she had her own dog, Diva, also a female. Nana got along famously with Diva (our dog almost never gets along with other dogs), and my wife and I would joke that Nana was gay for Diva. :lol
Izakaya is pretty much like tapas, or little dishes of food that you order in a (European-style) bar, just tailored for Japanese tastes. The main attraction is the alcohol (typically beer or sake but stronger stuff can be had like mixed highballs and hard liquor) but the food can be just as good. Smoking is normally allowed too, and it can get a bit loud and rowdy.
There are a lot of types of izakaya bars; it just depends on their specialty, like yakitori (grilled meat on wooden skewers to include horimon aka chitlins/guts). The izakaya I went to for my birthday was an Okinawan place, so it had a lot of specialty food like braised pork and taco rice (an American/Okinawan fusion dish that I grew to love when I was stationed at Kadena Air Base in '04-'08).
thanks my dude. i noticed you're in tokyo, i have a buddy stationed there right now. he just got back from a two week mission in a jungle. you ever do anything super crazy with the AF?
rock on. i pick my MOS for the corps tomorrow and ship off in january. i'm super hyped for the next 8 years of my life.
