Hmmm not sure which Microman figures I had...pretty sure my brother and I had some sort of base, too. Actually recent Microman figures look interesting as well. If I ha money I'd probably go for them.

So you buy/collect more than Joes and TFs?

Those bowls are really nice. The book looks like the ones my son found at Salvo's. Awesome you are keeping your childhood treasures, kudos to your parents. I've got nothing left, although I had tons of Chogokin and Microman figures. I once thought of replacing them like you are doing with Micromasters, but vintage Chogokins seem to command lots of money...

I always buy TFs with my son, so there hasn't been much issue. He is growing out of it though, so I have to see what happens in the next couple of years!

Threads/stories about TFs and Spouses sometimes pop up here, I feel sorry for the guys who cops it badly even though their spending is within budget.
I'm sorry to hear things didn't work out for you And no, she can't read this page unless she signs up

Oh I lurked here for a year or so. Glad I joined, and I am also glad I didn't join everywhere. I picked TFW because it was easy to navigate and the colours aren't tiring to my eyes. I do check out other boards sometimes still, but not much. As a whole I don't spend as much time as I used to on this hobby

I remember Sami enough (haven't exchanged posts with her, I think) to not want to talk about the whole drama

First time I saw those ripped open Mystery Cars was when we were on holiday in Coffs. It was a Big W somewhere nearby. I was shocked actually, though I had heard of rabid HW collectors.

I've watched the show (was following the thread ) Great collection, and I was impressed with the security.

I'm s sucker for "play value" (to think of it, this is a funny expression), that Skywave looks fun That's me, always starting off on a wrong foot.

I guess I could be a weirdo in a toy aisle, if not for my kids tugging along. They provide good cover. I met this guy who wanted a SWTF I was holding; I was discussing loudly if it's worth the money with my son, must have been a torturous few minutes for him until he finally broken into our conversation. Fortunately there were more of the same figure in the other part of the shop

taau had been active I think? I used to check them out as well, must be like 3 or 4 years ago though.

crap it's late, catch you later!!

Sounds like a good deal, congrats again! Do you have Flattop/Skywave? I seem to like the look of him a lot for some reason. Depending on the price I'll be picking him up one day.

Over a year ago, and you are still considered as a valuable contributor. It's nice to be wanted (Regardless of if you are happy with it or not!) But Galaxy Shuttle..isn't he a bit too precious to be carried around?
I have seen the site in your link, I have always been impressed with its resourcefulness. I would say your collection is also valuable to the Aussie community
But as you said, it is too close to home (10 minutes is way too close!) I don't want to worry if I come across this guy or that bloke at the toy aisle.
You must be figuring it out right about them
