I like the very black deco of the Takara MP Skywarp (I still haven't clue why I sold him before). I don't mind the samurai look, the kibble could've been handled better, but it's not a deal breaker for me like it is for others. I find the lack of balance more of a problem.
I haven't picked up the MP-11 mould yet, I've never been fond of the seekers per se, and a lack of a Skywarp deco for that mould has lead me to not pick one of those up. The less realistic alt mode puts me off too, as I do like plane Transformers that are good at hiding there robot kibble from the side, MP-3/6/7 do this well, as does RotF Mindwipe; it's a shame he didn't have a black deco lol.
I had a few Walkmans (Walkmen?), and Discmans, and Minidisk Walkman's, since I spent so much time on public transport.
I keep to-ing and fro-ing with Soundblaster, I like his robot mode, but he turns into what amounts to be a box; I don't have any attachment to him or Soundwave for some reason. I think was Ratbat was a good choice in the absence of the cassette combiner though.
I re-bought MP-6 Skywarp, I don't know what possessed me to sell him in the first place. I know you don't regard him as a black repaint, but he ticks a lot of the same boxes for me as the Nemesis Primes and Black Convoys, ie. a sharp looking black deco.
Hello! It seems that I'll get my 4 Movie Dinobots soon! I saw that only Voyager Grimlock and Deluxe Slug have gallery pages, I want to make gallery for Scorn and possibly Strafe (I ordered him from ebay and he will arrive later) Should I take photos on black background? Of course photos on black are spectacular!
Some of the repaints are quite beautiful, in my eyes anyway, especially MP-9B. I would've like to have heard more about the repaints from those who designed them. Still, all in all a worthwhile purchase.
I quite like it. I like having the drawings and the promotional photos collected in a book. The photos for the repaints are very scarce though, which is a shame because I tend to like the some of the repaints more than the original decos, eg. the black repaints.
Your translations of the interviews also added value to the book for me.
