Sol was pissed bro. I don't think yours did it as much as the big dick thread did.

    No problem.

Looking better. I still suggest that you swap the shoulder joint and the piece it's attached to in order to have the ball joint on the shoulder.

    As for the torso:

Notice how the studs face forward and are layered with plated to keep things sturdy. I use a bracket piece with studs on the top and side to attached the head.

(Y'know, looking at this, I think I may be able to replace those Technic parts in the thighs with those new ball joint parts...)

No problem. It'l looking good for a first attempt.

Yeah, a better pic next time would probably help.

    Looks good so far.

The Mixels have one serious flaw in their leg designs in that the part with the ball socket is the hip joint. If you put the part with the ball joint as the hip, it will give you better forward/backward articulation. You should also try to do this with the shoulder.

Also, it looks like the body is built by bricks stacked on eachother right-side-up, correct? Unless you have sideways parts on the front or back to better support them, they'll probably fall apart. (Though at the small scale you're building in, it might be OK) I would suggest you re-work the design of the body to be flat plates facing forward with a sideways bracket joint to attach the head (I'll try to send pics of what I mean later).

No problem! Anytime you're ready for another 'lesson', let me know!

    Sounds awesome.

Lesson 1: The key part to mech/robot building is joints. LEGO joins come in all shapes and sizes- the 3mm bars and C-clips, large revoltech-rachet joints, BIONICLE/HF ball joints, small clicky joints, technic pins, and now the Mixels have new small ball joints. Based on the size and weight of the mech, you will need different joints.

I really like to use these parts: BrickLink Reference Catalog - Part 4697b Because they are good universal joints. You can get something like this: Basic "T" Joint Skeleton / Frame for Miniformers and Mechs: A LEGOŽ creation by Chris Roach :

If you have any questions, let me know. And if you want help on a specific part of a robot (head, weapons, etc.) let me know.

One does not simply become a Master Builder. With just a few lessons.

(LEGO movie spoiler, in case you haven't seen it yet)"But that's what Emmet did in the movie!"

    ...shut up.

But seriously, I could give you some tips if you tell me what areas you;re having problems with.

OK, the way it was worded kinda sounded like you were asking me if using Crosshairs in your comic was a good idea or not.
