What makes you think that? Both plowking and Nemesis Predaking voluntarily stepped down, and they did so in good standing. Veterans simply are members who have served as staff at some point, as I've said.

When a moderator steps down in good standing, their status is changed to "veteran" showing to the board that they have served on the staff at a point in time. If you look around to other members, you'll see others who have veteran badges as well.
