Yeah, the arctic camo APC dude. He was repainted as Bludgeon too. Huh, good call. He does have a stern look about him.
Different thrusters? Idk, umm, maybe movie Wreckage? He's got a sweet, evil sculpt. Gonna have to think of some more...
Yeah, I feel ya. I'm nowhere near the level you're at, so I could never even think about commissions. I'm extremely anal and over analytical on my stuff. Pics and otherwise, its never good enough in my eyes. Strictly a novice here. Yup, its for fun now. As much as it can be anyways, I keep it simple now. Like with MP Soundwave. First thing I did after I cracked him open was paint the eyes red. The yellow really bugged me.
I do a little bit. Then I think of everything you mentioned lol. Taking pics and doing customs was something I did to relax, then that started to change and I just got in a funk. I would like to find my way back someday though. I have a ton of stuff left unfinished on both mediums.
I wish I could bro, when my camera went, I trashed my makeshift lightbox. Still haven't got a new one. Sadly, I kinda lost the buzz I got from photography. Most of the finished customs are very basic and buried deep within the collection anyways. Sorry.:( If I ever do get back on the horse, I will try to fill your request friend.
Absolutely. I started with a few fine tipped brushes and bottles of Testors, adding details that I saw fit. Copper, gold and silver mainly. Then went onto taking the heads apart and doing the eyes. Feeling more confident, I went to taking the limbs apart, spraying them flat black (live Krylon fusion btw) and drybrushing. The wife got me a Dremel and accessories kit a few years back and I went to cutting and sanding joint to add more articulation (most recently did Scoop to give him more head waggle), to full on Frankensteining my own. I have a bin of WIPs with a 3 inch layer of dust on it, I can't seem to find the time to go all in anymore. I'm back to the simple stuff now.
I don't think you're giving yourself enough credit in that respect. I think plenty of customizers take inspiration from your work and want to step it up to your level. Maybe I worded it wrong, but your footprint has definitely been left in that area of this site. I can see what you mean now, trying to rub elbows so to speak.
:lol Maybe that's what I am then, just tolerated. Seriously though, I think a lot of Radicons look up to you.
Thanks man, I appreciate the kind words. I doubt that the higher ups feel the same way though. I do agree that is a good quality to have if you a position of staff. Were you ever one before I was here? You are a pretty down to Earth guy yourself and from what I've seen, well respected. :lol I was a bit hesitant to use that term, but I guess it fits. I most certainly consider you a best friend, like I said, I can count them on one hand.
