They are just more small styene rods that have been cut short and sanded down.

Well, it never came out the way I wanted it to, but its just two different sizes of styrene tubes, one was glued to the wall of the other. then I attached a handle to go into his hand and the back of the truck.

You can find that kind of tubing at most hobby shops.

I don't really have a set up for taking in door pics. All I used for the Transformers pics I took was the back side of a poster, and a lamp with the shade removed that I held over top of where I was shooting. A tripod is always a good thing to use. You'll also want to use a higher ISO setting so that the shutter speed is slower to allow more light in. Also the less flash you use the better. It's best to have a constant, bright yet diffused light source. It's also good if you can light it from several angles to reduce the shadow, unless you want shadow. I've seen a little indoor backdrop/lighting set up that you can buy, that looks pretty neat, but it's about $100.

I think it's just that they sit on the same sprue as some red parts on the molds. They could easily be colored silver, they're all hidden in vehicle mode.
