I have been searching on the internet what it could have been, but i have little concrete stuff to go on.

Heh, I will admit that a minor irk I have with the franchise is that some of these robots have awesome weapons/abilities, and I think: "So, how come other robots haven't jumped in on that kind of awesomeness?"

So, I just figured that such technologies had drawbacks, like massive energy consumption, instability, rarity, such and such, and that's why not everyone has them :D
