I know his name gets tossed around a lot, but I really do think James Cameron would be the best director for the job. But I really don't think he'd ever do it. He is, however, slated to direct the other anime/manga-turned-live-action project that I am most vehemently anticipating: Battle Angel Alita!!!!!!!!!!!
