Hey buddy, after I knock out some work I'm gonna make a circuit using the parts I showed in your thread. I'll take pics and explain away the details. As for making a rig for Movie 1 Leader Prime, maybe if you mailed me your Prime's head I could do it up for ya and send it back. Just shoot over a PM if that sounds like a plan!

Hello. About the Prime. No he will not transform. I have to forgo that part of it to make it so detailed. I am not that good,.....yet. Did you see my movie Prime?Ultra Detailed TFTM

He will be like this one, but a lot more evil and detailed. I have made a lot of plans and changes to make it more "robotic". Let's just say there will be more lights, more blades, more spikes, more guns!!!! I really like making the bad guys.

Tamiya is good stuff, especially for custom-builders.

Hey man! Sorry for the late reply, been workin' like a dog lately. Yeah, there's a thread somewhere in Heavy/Scratch, but it was just a quick thread. I have to finish up three projects that are about 80-90% done, then I'm back on UM. I want to get him done well ahead of the movie release!

Auto Air, can I buy that on internet? I'm from the Netherlands so I don't think they have that stuff here in stores.

Ok, I see that it's a choice you made using automotive acrylics. It must be good stuff. Wich brand do you use?

Maybe to put it on too wet is the problem. Let me hear when you solve this problem?

If you really want to paint them, don't use acrylics. Use poly-urethane paints or enamels for that matter. I use only acrylics for pin-striping, highlights, detailing and dry-brush techniques. For base-coats I use poly-urethane paints or enamels by using an airbrush or simply a brush. Mostly flat paints/base-coats. I seal the hole thing with an UV-resistant silk-gloss vernis so I don't have to use glossy paints. Dry-brush wont hold on glossy paints. I don't use glossy sealers because it's in my opinion to shiny. To give the thing a shiny effect I use highlights on edges and seal this off.

The reason I used the Labels was first the tip from my dutch-Radiconfriend iDarkDesign and second I don't have the patience yet to do it by hand. Maybe I do have the patience with the ROTF Prime. He's on my wish-list to get him OVERHAULED properly.

Why don't you use Reprolabels for the flame-job instead and give the labels a washing? That's so much easier than painting them. From a distance you wouldn't see the difference. I used the labels too and gave them a washing. It was a tip from my fellow dutch-Radicon and friend iDarkDesign. Believe me, it works.
