Not a mod by any stretch, but I can answer your questions I think.

The only way to change your user name is to make a donation and become a supporter, under Rules and Info..sadly, it looks like donations are closed for the moment.

As for the old thread,...it's frowned upon UNLESS new information is posted and under those circumstances you can bring it back....or if this new info warrants more discussion.

multi quote is pretty cool...if you are responding to several ppl's post..just click the mq on EACH of their posts...when your finished with the last quote..on that post click the quote button and ALL of your selected posts will show up for you to respond to each post that you've selected. You can always just test it out, preview what you've typed and if you don't like it...just clear out without submitting.

In response to anyone that says the newer, crappy transformers animated and movie incarnations are better than G1, I always say: "So you would rather buy a new Ford truck over a 1980's Ferrari?" I don't know about you guys but I would take the 1980's Ferrari over a Ford truck any day."
