Hey! I just finished up my Custom! Well, sorta.
I just need to touch it up where the tape covered
the plastic, preventing it from being painted... And,
then I need to apply the decepticon Repro when
all of my Repros get here. Oh, I'm going right back
to working on him, so don't feel like you have to
respond to this message soon.
<.< Well, I painted him black... Now, he's drying in my garage... wait, no...
I should bring him inside, too much humidity in the garage. *Goes and place him in-doors*
He's looking fantastic. So far....that is. Just need to add the Dull-coate tomorrow, and
add touch ups like Silver on the mirrors, and painting his head (The white part) Black,
and his optics red...wait, could you give me some advice? Should I color his optics, or not?
I'm not quite sure...
EDIT: Just ordered my Repro's btw. I got the two Barricade upgrade kits,
the Rodimus and Prowl Upgrade kits, and a set of small TF Symbols.
exactly $30 with shipping. I wanted to get some other things, but I promised
my mother it would only be 30, so I left off gettin' anything else. Oh well,
I get two free movie symbol sheets!
EDIT 2: I just applied a coat of Dull-Coate. It should be dry by the time I get
back home this afternoon (It's 7 AM, July 19th, as I'm adding this into the post)
At least, It should be dry enough to handle. I won't even try to put Him
together untill tomorrow, when He's really dried out.
The problem with that is this:
With Spray paint, that sh*t goes EEEEEEVERYWHERE!
Close up, it spots, bubbles, and runs, far away, it coats
EEEEEEEEEEEVERYTHANG! I could try to just hand paint
a second coat, though, in the case that it does look un-even.
Thanks for the Idea.
Well... It's actually only the primer.
The primer is Gray, so, It's not much
different if I leave it as is for when
I apply the black coat, BUT, if I want
it all to look uniform, then I'm going
to have to do what you just suggested.
But, prolly not today...It's raining right now.
*Facepalm* I just realized I didn't Spray the most important part of Jazz.
The part of the 'hood' that pops out of the way in transformation isn't painted,
and neither is the surrounding edge it covers.
Yep... My Grandad helped me do it, and scared the crap outta me when he was just
handling the still wet pieces with his bare hands... >.< I don't know if I'm gonna paint
the black coat today... I'm pretty sure it's not even 100% dry, anyway. Also, I do have
the masked portions of the parts to hold them by... I guess...
Yeah... I suck at waiting.
My patience level: -600,876,921,845.
Hrm... guess I can try to keep occupied with other
things like writing out my Comic some more...
you know, time consuming things. Still, I'm not even
100% sure exactly what else I may need for his new
paint job. So, yeah, that's gonna be what I think will be
the best course of action. Yep, Thanks a bunch.
Aw, screw it!! Forget the primer!
I don't care if I have to use
the whole frigin' can! I WANT
TO GET THIS SUCKA COMPLETED!!
Hmmm, maybe I shouldn't rush it...
Nah, screw that. I need to get 'im
done soon...well... I do need the
repro labels first... and, I need to
finish season 2 first, since he will
be part of season 3... not to mention,
I prolly shouldn't Upgrade Barry, Prowl
and Rodimus 'till next season, anyway...
Hmm... what do you think? Should I wait,
or dive in headfirst?
