Computer is on the fritz and my daughter and I are going to Pennsic War. Hopefully this will get fixed while we are gone. We have shots but got sand in my son's camera and weren't able to complete it. End of August looks to be the soonest. Thanks for asking

So when's the next update?

Let's see...I'm a wife, mother, Air Force vet, and a museum guide at the Star-Spangled Banner Flag House in Baltimore, MD.. This is the home of Mary Pickersgill, the woman who sewed the flag that flew over Fort McHenry during the War of 1812. I've always loved history. I guess the over-riding motivation is; "why?" Why did people live this way, why did such and such happen...you know the usual questions. I also wanted to be an archeologist when I was younger...never had the support from the family and let it slide, but...now I lead tours, explain life in the early 1800's, and do a bit of reenacting. Most importantly, I hope to influence visitors and convince them that they too are the makers of history.

Archaeology is great fun and a great headache all at once, and leads to many sleepless nights pondering some very theoretical stuff. I've been wondering for a while now if you were an historian or museum director?
