I know this is a bit of a long shot, but I would like a junker TRU Exclusive MP Thundercracker (Acid Storm or Sunstorm would be okay too). At the very least, I would like the main body, unbroken, with legs and main wings. I do not need the small tail wings, cockpit/nosecone, hands/fingers, or even the head. The null rays would be nice, but it wouldn't be a deal breaker if it doesn't have them. I'm looking to spend less than $50 total, so hold your offers of complete/MIB because that is not what I'm looking for. Please PM me if you have one!
I need a cockpit/nose section for TC, so let me know if you get any offers including that. I can probably take other parts if you need to cannibalize one.
There's a Thundercracker I'm watching on ebay that's missing the rear tailfins. If it doesn't get bid on, I'm going for it (so please don't bid against me if you saw it too). I'll let you know if I get it and then we can work something out for the cockpit section. Out of curiosity, what do you need that section for? Did yours break?
I saw that auction too, I'll stay out of it. I tore up the screw covers on mine trying to get the halves of the cockpot section apart.
No... I'm currently LOOKING for a junker MP-11 mold Seeker. If I get one with the head I will let you know since I won't need it.
Those covers are the hardest of all to remove on every version/release of the mold AFAIK. I never could get mine out---yet I got the leg ones out, despite them being super-glued shut.
If you have an iGear seeker, those panels on the nose section should be the same as on the MP-11 mold. You can actually remove those panels on the iGear seekers since they're generally not glued on. Once you do, you'll see why the ones on the nose of the MP-11 mold (or MP-03 mold for that matter) are practically impossible to remove due to the way they glued them on from the factory. The leg ones and shoulders are easy to do with the hot water trick.
I was actually able to get them off an original Takara MP-03 Starscream cockpit with minimal damage. I scored around the panel with a dremel a bunch to widen the gap a bit and cut away any glue from the sides, the I used a tiny screwdriver (the kind used for eyeglasses) as a wedge and CAREFULLY pried up on all sides of the panels until they popped out. I would use a bit of paint brush cleaner on a Q-tip to work it into the gap that I scored to help dissolve the glue underneath.
