Getting a lot of requests for Metroplex files so I'm starting to put them up for sale - first is the knees. Later will come hands and ramps.

    Generation Metroplex knee swivels

I'm not selling parts anymore. I still design from time to time but now I just put them up on thingiverse/3dcults for people to print on their own. Excellent printers are so cheap these days and free/cheap designs so plentiful there's no excuse not to own a printer if you have even a passing interest in 3d printing. We have entered a new era of DIY prints.

I rarely take requests. This is a hobby I do when I feel, not a job, so any requests will probably be ignored.

I would love to see the articulated Metroplex fists when they're ready. That sounds super cool!

A Cheaper, and maybe better more playable alternative to Defender is always welcome, :D

How about G1 Jetfire leg clips. Those damn things go for gold on Ebay. Plus I need two sets.

    These things?

If I had one to copy I could do that for sure, but unfortunately I don't. If somebody wanted to loan me one to take measurements of I could totally do that. I'd only need one assuming they are mirror copies of one another.

I'd be interested in a Snapdragon neck but I need a Krunk first. Any plans to make him?

I could try it, the one I have is already a KO itself (a very nice one though)  He would probably take a while to design, and I'm not sure how well the details would translate. I recommend the one I already have:

    http://www.ebay.com/itm/Transformer...5132?pt=US_Action_Figures&hash=item3ccb27dd2c

That's probably less than I would have to charge for one and looks very real. Be warned, however - the paint chips off way easy. The entire thing is painted white plastic. Even the white parts are painted.

After posting pics of what I have my next immediate job will be finalizing the Springer kit, then Blaster elbows and Metroplex fists.

How's the finish look on these pieces. Does it have the "grainy" texture of shapeways?

Not grainy, but layer-ey. On some parts it looks ok and adds to the mechanical nature of what it represents, on others not so great. I should be able to push the layer height down to a point where you won't even notice it (haven't experimented with that yet), but that makes the parts take way longer to print and would therefore raise the cost. I will find a happy medium between resolution and print time for default prints, and should be able to do ultra-fine resolutions on request.

If you google reprap printing examples you can see what I mean. Watch out, there are some ugly examples out there, don't be scared off by them. I have my machine tuned in pretty tight.

Ah, cool - I have been looking at that one for a while on Ebay but hadn't been able to find a review of it. I'll probably go with one of those. When do you expect the Snapdragon necks to be ready?

Soon, I have already done the test print and am working on the adjustments for the second version. It's a small part and shouldn't take much work.

It's more of an extending clip than it is a new neck, you won't even notice it in other modes.

It'd be cool if you could somehow engineer parts to better articulate certain Armada figures like the seekers and Megatron. It wouldn't be that far removed from what you're already set to offer with G1 figures.

Very possible, once I get through my G1 list, or if enough people request a certain part. What parts do you want upgraded exactly?

for the Springer upgrade...will it require cutting/modding the figure or will the upgrade it be just attaching without cutting/glueing into Springer?
