GDO springer 3rd mode upgrade kit is up.

 

Dang it now I need to find a Springer. I sold the one one I had. Springer looks good!

 

The Springer upgrades look nice. Just waiting to see the Snapdragon neck piece.

Good improvement on not-Springer.

 

Hips are a maybe, useful knees are probably out of the question without cutting into the figure.

 

The Dev heels WILL work on encore, they need a couple fine adjustments on my end but they will work.

 

Wow, super-glad I saw this thread before I started really cutting into Springer. Definitely ordering a set in a week or two when I have the cash.

I'm interested in acquiring all three of these sets. I just want to wait until they're complete and you're done making adjustments before I go ahead and commit.

 

Don't wait too long for more Blaster stuff, I don't know if I'm even going to try yet. If I do the price will be going up. I'll focus on the neck clip tonight, the heels will take about five minutes for me to do the encore fix so they are for all intents and purposes final.

I can print any part of any kit at any time, so even if I do add to Blaster you can always get the new parts later. I'll take early adopters into account and give them a deal on any new part upgrades for kits as well, maybe free shipping for the new parts.

And as always, I don't know if I said this in the OP but if you have an issue with any part I am more than happy to replace it and/or help you fix it at no cost to you. I don't want anybody getting something they can't use.

 

Well, I got something done with Snapdragon, but he didn't turn out as well as I'd hoped:




There's a static clip in there that holds the head at a better angle. I was hoping to get an even better angle or maybe even movement but there's just not enough room in that part for me to work with while keeping the transformation and look. I could redo the whole neck but it would impact the original look of the figure too much IMO.

Let me know what you think, is this good enough or should I redesign the whole neck? As it is now the part would be super cheap, I would probably charge around $4 for it. A whole new neck would run way more and be black (no way I can color match that purple), but I could probably get it to extend to twice it's normal length and have a joint or two.

 

Redesigning the entire neck might be a bit extreme. Whatever you did is certainly an improvement, albeit a small one. At least he can look forward instead of just up in the air.

I was wondering how difficult it might be for you to produce a replacement piece for an old Diaclone MC-16 KO I have. It's a small, black, flat plastic tab about a half inch long and quarter inch wide used as a hinge in its wing assembly. If I removed it and mailed it to you, might you be able to print out a few copies? How much might you want for such a thing?

Speaking of GDO toys, could you come up with a cannon for GDO Megatron that could attach on to the tank cannon? It could replace the sword or peg onto the open end of the sword, either-or. It's just not a Megatron without an arm cannon.

 

I probably could, but I'd need at least a couple more people interested to make it worth the time it takes to design it. I don't have the figure myself, the mold doesn't fit Megs IMO.
