I think this is the voice in Hasbro executives heads regarding anything bumblebee.

"There is no other Autobot more Loyal or Lovable than bumblebee."

I am not saying I don't want him around.
He's the face of the brand since the live action movies, and I think many people just see him as a carry over from that.
Even if prime bumblebee does manage to be more expressive and compassionate than the movie bee ever was.

Soundwave has had a much easier time being able to convey his character through silence and vigilant surveilance. Than Bee has been able to by having other characters react to his bleeps.

I can guess Raf was supposed to help support the current bee, but I think the writers have had an equally difficult time sorting Raf into a good place.
Eventually working into a better partner for Ratchet than bee as the series progressed. Though June does fill that role occasionally.

The more I see of footage from the new show- at least up to the point where the core Autobots find each other and start up together again- the less I think we'll see the Beast Hunters toyline aesthetic show up. In some cases that's probably a good thing- Starscream and Bulkhead for starters, and in others not so much.

Guess dreadwing is getting a crazy deluxe just for kids liking him in the season 2 reruns this year. Though I was intrigued if they were going to bring him back because of that toy.

I was willing to accept the changes to the character models or dozens of predacon dragons being monster of the week challenges. But I'm glad their keeping the show itself consistent. Hopefully employing Greg Weisman for writing duties this season will pay off. As his work with gargoyles and young justice is good at putting tension on a lot of characters simultaneously.

Over rated character, also the most annoying right now, you'd think they'd be able to fix his voice box. Such a copout to justify using annoying soundblips and sfx. I hate it.

Well. Smokescreen and Arcee are my favorite Autobots from Prime, but I guess that was a nice video :p . Seeing all that footage side by side really shows how far the show has come, in the season 3 clips the animation looks much more natural and the lighting looks great. As slight as the differences are, they're noticeable.

Why the hell don't they make him a new voicebox with the Forge? Doesn't make sense. Optimus could have banged it out in a minute. Oh well... maybe they will some day.

This seems a bit harsh, but I must agree that Hasbro/Hub seem woefully out of touch if they assume BB is anyone's favorite. And for God's sake, give him his voice back at some point before the end of Season 3. I really do despise that Bay setup the story that BB lost his voice, because it's obviously been beat over our heads since movie 1. Funny too, because he sort of got his voice back at the end of movie 1... but we've not heard it since. And giving him beeps and boops instead of a real voice is just damn crazy! Stop, stop, stop Hasbro... please!!!

Bullshit, he hasn't talked since 2008. The Bot was made to be a likable Autobot, not an R2-D2 cash cow.

Same. The more I see the less I think there will be any of this beast hunters look. It was just clever marketing on hasbros part to resell toys they already sold. I mean..shit yea..when I was a kid, I bought the cobra trooper...AND the python trooper..and I'm here to tell ya they are different (kid mentality)...

With only a few shows this season...why would they spend so much time changing the cgi models? No...if we see any new ones...it will be prime. That's it.

If even that. They might save any bodily upgrades for that follow up movie that they're talking about.

Maybe if I like Bumblebee he'll die like the actual characters that were my favourite.
