TFW2005 Reviews Nefarious #1 - Transformers News

Nefarious #1 is supposedly out tomorrow, March 17th..although I haven't seen it on many shipping lists.

its nice to get to see some non movie toys get some comic screen time to. liked how breakaway got a dogfight with soundwave. very cool. neat to see more cassettes to. hopefully there will be more in the next movie. ill half to go see my local shop this weekend and see if i can find this.

Not in the slightest. Comics sometimes focus on things that may not even remotely make reference into any movie, if the previous movie comics are to go by.

Yeah, definately going to miss Milne. I love how he actually came up with bots that were inspired by the toys, but were still clearly movie designs. Soundwave looks like a copy from his toy with added details, and the other bots are probably no different. Very disappointed with the extremely G1-esque Lazerbeak/Buzzsaw too; that's another thing Milne would have handled differently. Make it clear it was our favorite bird, but probably making it look similiar to Ravage designwise.

Don't tell me you really believe that.   It will be discared, just as Reign of Starscream.

I notice Prime's shoulder-platform-thingy is miscolored red.  

It's definetly a pleasant suprise to see the casseticons back. Buzzsaw, Ratbat, etc. are a welcome addition for me.

Woohoo, Jolt and Knock Out! I wanted to see Longarm, though - he was in The Veiled Threat.

Will definetly miss Milne - his art was very good!

Longarm was captured by S7 in Alliance, doubt he'll appear in this series, maybe hoist though? lol

Jolt's spoken in the Titan comics already, so this wont bother me much anyway

Well, I want Jolt to talk in professional media. I like the Titan series, but they made him into a little kid just like the Twins.

 

Jolt does not speak in #1. He does see action, however, that doesn't involve strapping a dead man's armor on another robot.

 

Loving the art. The movieverse characters look very consistent and exciting staging. This may just rock  

 

Im the opposite, the art's a big pass for me.

 

What's you're complaint? The designs or the execution of them?

Did Reign of Starscream ever conflict with any of the events in the first movie or ROTF? (aside from retconning Brawl's one line)

 

Oh yeah Ravage comes back! He was really the most pissed off about death in ROTF. The G1 homages with the rest of SW minions seem a little much but I don't mind

 

Don't quite know how to word it. The perspectives in a lot of panels seem... off... like that dude's face in the holoscreen. The fine details seem... I dunno, smudged? Soundwave's face and body in the preview page seem this way to me.
