WTF? This is getting pretty out of hand. They're now makings KOs of official reissues and molds that Tak/Tomy own.

Yeah this is where I draw the line at KOs. I don't mid KO reissues of Sunstreaker, Mirage, or Wheeljack because you don't have any other options for a MISB version, unless you are Donald Trump or Bill Gates. But something like this??? WHY would you buy a KO of it when you can get the real thing? This is a big pass to me...

EDIT: Could this not be an order for the TFC reissues? They in with a bunch of other KOs but still...All it says is reproduction, not original G1...

With the licensed reissues still available for a reasonable price, this makes no sense.

Maybe they are just catering to a specific market of KO collectors? A market that's certainly grown in the past year with all the KOs coming out in full force.

I'm starting to think that Digital Toys has really taken a step down with their products. Its making me think twice about purchasing anything from them.

I've been in the market for a KO G1 Mirage and Wheeljack, and possibly Shockwave. But this shuts the door on all of that.

I find it very questionable with what they are doing now. It's one thing to make KOs of molds that no longer exist or damaged but to make existing ones is screwed up.

I am somewhat curious how these are going to be packaged, will they use the TFC box style?

G1 is officially dead. I knew this was gonna happen since KO swoop hit the market. I hate the tought of these figures and their accessories getting mixed in with the vintage market.

Well where do you think they got the money to finance this bullshit?

    From people buying KOs.

    Say no to KOs.

This is sad. Really sad. The worst part of it is that there is no way to really tell the difference between them. I very nearly bought what I thought was an MIB Swoop at a local comic book store when the guy said that it was a re-issue. But it was in a G1 US box. While the Dinobots got reissued in Europe in the early 90s, they were not done so here in the States. I called the guy out on it and he admitted that it was a KO. The price was over $125!!! He said he did it because he got duped at a comic book convention and bought it thinking it was the G1 version. Here he was trying to con someone because he got conned. This is what the KOs have done. While they're nice for those who can't afford the originals, they are ruining this hobby for those seeking G1 toys. Sad.

Meh, shouldn't be surprising that they would create toys of in-use molds. After all one of the first bootlegs was OPTIMUS PRIME, a mold that is always in use.

The bootleg guys are gonna use EVERY mold they find at those old factories cause it'd be stupid for them not too.

Pass. I already have my vintage ones, a vintage KO Bombshell and the TFC Reissues.

Insecticons? That seems like a very strange choice for bootleg KOing. Pretty much anyone and their little sister can grab up all 3 vintage complete in decent quality for that much. And it's not like the Insecticons are in high demand or hard to find or have rare pieces or anything (compared to Sunstreaker and Wheeljack say).

Man these are pretty expensive for KO's, I mean I hope the quality is really nice but still, when KO's are starting to cost more than official releases, seems kind of stupid to me.

Yep that's a major problem with them for why they can be a really crappy deal that they exist in the way they do. One person dupes another who dupes another...many people get screwed and the further down the line it goes the less and less it is actually identified as a KO/bootleg. Bleh!

I'm pretty sure it's not known that that is how they're doing them.

'Reproduction' has generally become a cover word for fake/ko/bootleg to make them not sound as unauthentic, but so that it's not as direct a lie as 'reissue'.

I could see that if these were being released in vintage G1-clone packaging, as the new ko/bootleg collectors seem to be into it for a MISB collection of them, because of how they are sort of passable as MISB vintage G1 (why else should a KO Gnaw cost $70-100?), and thus display them as such, but without that resemblance factor it's just confusing...

So do others friend, so do others.

$50 is not too bad. I think I will get these if the quality is good.

And for those crying foul because of the TFC reissues, tough luck! Have you priced the TFC Insecticons lately? The price those things are going for is madness!
