Well I think people would complain if Bee fought against 2 decepticons at the same time.. and won.

Funny how most of the promo stuff has Shatter and Dropkick in their car-only modes even though they only had them in one scene, before confronting Bumblebee.

This is the shatter and dropkick that I wanted. No air modes. They look so much better without kibble that defies scale.

Love the juxtaposition of the three primary colors. Otherwise, kind of "meh" about the composition (e.g., what exactly was Bumblebee aiming for?).

Apart from the scene on the tower, there was no real need for the air modes. Even the way they acquired their third modes felt just thrown in there; Shatter could at least have said something like "Dropkick, let's scan these vehicles for flight". Without already knowing they were going to be triple changers I don't think it was really clear what was happening there.

Or just go with the flying modes by themselves. Outside the Stunticons, the baddies rarely adopt motor vehicle alt modes. The idea of them having aerial alt modes based on military hardware makes more sense given how 'cons tend to adopt combat-superior war machine modes compared to Autobots as civilian vehicles.

Agreed. My main thing is that it screwed up the SS figures. But they really didnt need the modes to begin with. They should have been Stunticons.

I would have made them Stunticons. While what you said about decepticons being military hardware is true in G1, the Bayverse brought in several evil cars prior to the Bumblebee movie. Barricade would be at the top of the list. Then there was Sideways. And Lockdown wasnt officially a Decepticon but he did play the role of the heel considering AOE lacked actual decepticons. So in my opinion decepticon cars do work.

I don't know that they'd need to be Stunticons if there's not a whole combining team, just have them as Decepticons who turn into cars like Runamuck and Runabout.

I’m sad to admit that this movie was a drag to watch. I I haven’t been this bored watching a transformers movie since the last knight. Once again we sacrifice robot action and drama for human quirkiness and humor. I’m so tired of the humans being the focus. They’re given way too much to do

Before the movie everyone thought these designs were wrong or early CGI, but after watching the movie, these designs are actually in... for two seconds...
Besides how good I thought the movie was, I felt like it was really bad at explaining things. How does Optimus know about Earth or what it’s called? How do they speak perfect English off the bat? Why do they not mention any of the Decepticon names once? There were such easy ways to fix those. Optimus could have not known the name of the planet. One of the robots could have explained their ability to automatically detect and learn the native languages of planets they visit. Shatter and Dropkick call each other “comrade” a few times, and they could have replaced that with their names every now and then. It really isn’t that hard, and that really bothered me.

The complaints about this movie, especially considering the previous garbage, blows my mind. I've loved and obsessed about Transformers since 1984, and I find all this nitpicking about the Bumblebee movie sad. It's a really fun movie, and (hopefully) a good start to a new Transformers Live Action Universe. Yeah, I would love to see a full movie of robots, but the budget was not there for this film, and the majority of movie-viewers need the human element to keep their interest. If that's what it takes to build a new series that is more faithful to the Transformers mythos, I'm fully on board.

The humans will always be a factor that’s a given, but they never were the focus in cartoons. Look at how the recent planet of the apes films have handled their human characters: they’re in the background as they should be
