TRANSFORMERS UNICRON #5 (OF 6) 10 COPY INCV OSSIO (JUL180821) TRANSFORMERS UNICRON #5 (OF 6) 20 COPY INCV FRANCAVILLA (NET (JUL180822)
The first cover is just unintentionally hilarious. Has the be the most boring apocalypse ever, even Unicron has a grumpy "Dammit, I have to destroy 3 more planets today before I can end my shift" expression on his face, while the humans seem to be just casually floating there with a rather puzzled expression instead of worry, Optimus is doing his best "jazzhands!" stance, and some guy is napping at the top of a skyscraper with what seems to be loudspeakers for pillows and yawning at just how bored he is at the end of the world.
I\'m a little confused on the description as none of these covers are by Alex Milne and I believe Cruz didn\'t color either of these as well. The first cover(RI A) is by Fico Ossio, and the second(RI B) is by Francesco Francavilla. They may have colored their own works, but I\'m not 100% sure on that. Francavilla most likely did, though.
Making Unicron's debut a part of those Hasbro-verse books and having his minion's be those BW characters has diminished much of my excitement for this series... Well that and most of the cast of OP's ongoing book which I'm behind in as well. I have read issue 0 on Unicron which felt kinda meh! But I will still eventually get to it since this is the end of an era plus it should eventually feature the LL's cast which I am caught up on.
if there\'s one thing this book has done so far is it has not presented Unicron as anything other than an unstoppable force of nature. Outside of a few lines of \"I... HUNGERRRRRR...\" he has not said anything else. Will his presence be given a voice in the final issue?
