Details for this one in terms of price and release are going to be updated on AgesThree and Up but FPJ is continuing on with their Causality Recolors with the 2nd piece, K-Bone. This is a repaint of T-Bone from their Intimidator set but it has added female pegs on the torso so that it can face either way on the leg in combined mode (replacement parts will come later for Kar Krash to do the same later.)

They really must not have much else to work on. Wonder what other figure running this through the factory is going to delay.

 

Finishing the set that they started would be my first guess but sky's the limit.

I don't understand why you'd assume this is the only thing coming/being worked on or why only one figure can be produced at a time... but alright.

It's nice that they're still active.

Perhaps these last few recolours, are they way getting back on track for new figures down the road?

 

The first character came out yrs ago. I don't know. There is Generation Toy's version now

I think these are just a side thing that are happening outside of of regular production but don't quote me as I'm only speaking my own thoughts there.

 

One last money grab? Remember when we used to look forward to FP's releases? Nowadays I bet most of us look at this with a mixture of pity and embarassment.

They could do FX Snapdragon and Apeface and release them at a reasonable price. I would buy those, but they need to be realistic and realize they are FP, and not FT.

I bet this would be 59.99, but why would you buy these if you can grab the XTB ones at that price? Because Classics you say? Well most people have moved on. Technology has moved on. Design has moved on, etc, etc. The only thing that hasn't moved on seems to be FP expecting people to pay a premium for their product whatever it is.

 

I honestly have no idea but considering everything they've been releasing and announcing since coming back has been CHUG scale it seems to be a decent bet. I know they're actual, separate companies but it does seem like them going to Masterpiece-scale would be kind of an overlap with MakeToys doing the Re:Master line IMO.

 

I was thinking that Fansproject seems to have had a rather rough financial patch recently, apparently mostly due to those shells for their monster combiner.
So this the upcoming recoloured monster combiner reissue gift set, and continuing this G2 set, might be a way to right themselves financially so they can get on to working on 'new' (i.e. previously announced, but unreleased) figures.

I hope so too.
I'd like them to continue their stylized CHUG Headmasters, among other things.

 

This seems like a total waste of time. Nobody really gives a shit about Intimidator at this point and you can score complete sets for $150 these days.

This is just the impression I have, no clue to if it is right. FansProject is fighting to survive after the disaster that was the Dinoking shells. Repainting figures that are complete is relatively cheap and could help them get back into the game. If you are a fan of FP, or want to help them get back to their Headmasters sooner then supporting this would help that. Of course even many of those fans have moved on now so I don't know how strong a motivator it is.

 

So will we be waiting will 2022 for the next one or?

I'd buy a box set of the G2 colours, or even a straight reissue box set of the original ones. This just seems bizarre.

 

I dig it (is it allowed to say that in this thread?). But what about Kar Krash; they're gonna reissue him alongside this?
