To answer some of your questions:

-The Humvee began production in 1984 but only first saw combat in 1989 (Operation Just Cause, the U.S. invasion of Panama).
-"Never gonna give you up" was released in 1987
-I believe the movie is supposed to take place in 1987

  Oh god, Vangelus...NO! Do not let Shyamalan's "The Last Airbender" be your introduction to the series

Please just watch the cartoon instead...do not do yourself a disservice like that!!!

I SECOND THIS. Dear Primus, don't watch the Shyamalan Airbender movie. It's painful bad. Not 'fun' bad.

The only toys that I pass on then got some in hand and had to go back were the Mugenbine figures. I traded all my Go-Buster mechs for something like 20+ Mugenbines.

Please don't. Don't even touch the Shyamalan version. That is pissing away your ability to enjoy a touchstone in animation.

No matter how you hate the bernie mac lines, I feel it was a really nice nod to Bernie Mac.
and those lines made sense to add in there.

I think the Beast maserpieces are pricing me out of getting them. I think both dinobot and Megatron look amazing but I fear Megs will be $300-$350 and I cannot justify that on a single toy

I plan on. Buying the Golden Lagoon Starscream.
And maybe the Perceptor/Seaspray/Beachcomber set if it goes on sale.
Not getting the gold mp Optimus though. I already have 2 of that mold.

I’m guilty of going back and rebuying/un-passing on stuff. It totally happened with me on Marvel Legends during the toy biz days. I also did it for Beast Wars. About 10 years ago my friend was getting rid of some random Transformers and he gave me a Transmetal Cheator and a Terrorsaur. So I decided to get just the show cast. I ended up gettting about half the cast before ultimately deciding that this was getting too expensive. So I sold everything I had. I have managed to hold off on all the MP Beast Wars stuff too and I haven’t looked back since.
