New company M-deck has just published photos of their upcoming limited edition project, a human-sized (aprox. 1/10) G1 Optimus Prime rifle replica. It features lights and sounds, and a sick attention to detail.

Check the pictures closely, they are not renders, but actual photos of the prototype.

Primus, that\'s cool! I\'d be all over that, but usually life sized collectibles are expensive a hell. Still, it\'s a rather nice idea.

I’m not one for role play items, but props to M-Deck for a 3rd party product that’s original. I.e. not an Optimus Prime figure of some kind. 

 

Oh shit, this might be a must buy!

 

This is rad, but I’d rather have a prop/replica rifle that shoots water or foam darts/balls over lights and sounds.

Getting carried away with myself, I’d like to see a Megatron arm cannon, in all its ungainly glory, that could launch a foam football, for instance.

 

I must find a way to get this company to make a replica of Grimlock\'s sword from Fall of Cybertron. I need that thing in my life. 

 

This is something I think Hasbro should try investing in. Creating actual human sized replicas of the Transformers’ weapons like Primes rifle, Megatrons fusion cannon, or Starscreams null rays would be absolutely badass.

 

If Hasbro won't even make Classics Megatron in traditional handgun colors out of fear of a kid getting shot by a cop mistaking it for a real gun, I genuinely doubt they would ever make G1 roleplay weapons.

 

I'm not saying you're wrong but I think Hasbro's decision to produce Classics Megs in nerf colors was more due to the toy gun laws in the U.S. than the fear of kids getting misunderstood by the cops.

 

This would look fantastic next to the OP voice changer....if you are looking to display them......

I just hope no one will be stupid enough to take this outside somewhere and get shot, because that's the kind of world we live in now.  

I like this. It's a cool idea and made for a nice scale-down (to human size) prop. If I had the money, I'd get one.
