Okay, movie toys apparently performed to expectations in sales to vendors. Good. That means transformers is still a healthy brand (despite the disparaging remarks by collectors about One-Steps, etc.).

Glad we'll get to see some Cyberverse toys at ToyFair. I'm interested in where that line is planning to go. Obviously, there'll be Bumblebee and Windblade...it'll be interesting to see what other characters are on the docket.

I'm glad they're up-front about there being plans for the future that may not include TRU.

Also in before 20 pages of "No the Last Knight toys didn't do well!"

It's interesting that the only thing really mentioned as kind of failing was Star Wars. I bet there will be a strategy overhaul for Episode 9...Solo is too close to release to switch gears now.

Rumor: Take the following info with a grain of salt. Consider them as fake until proven otherwise.

    Bumblebee: The Movie
    • VW Bumblebee
    • Decepticon Decker (Red GTX)
    • Decepticon Scrash
    • Unrevealed 4th figure
    • Energon Igniters gimmick line is similar to Nerf Nitro/Botshots
    • Bee Vision mask

    Transformers: Cyberverse
They look like the Animated figures with R.I.D. style.
    • Optimus Prime
    • Bumblebee
    • Windblade
    • Megatron
    • Shockwave
    • Starscream
    • Barricade

    Cybertronics
Kre-o like construction sets. G1 and movie characters. It's like that Bot Shots Toy Line. Different sizes. Every figure comes with an Energon canister and lights. They have arenas too.

    Mighty Muggs
Both G1 and The Last Knight movie. Bumblebee: The Movie characters will come later.

    Tiny Turbo Changers
More characters from the movies. G1 characters are also there.

    Generations
    Optimus Primal
    Predaking

I'll get all the negative comments out in one post.

    1) The movie toys obviously didn't sell that well. You're a liar. I know because I went to this one Walmart in this small town and they had three Barricades left.
2). I hate one steps. Who buys them? And don't get me started on those shampoo bottles.
    3) More Bumblebee? Seriously?
    4) No one wants Authentics at the dollar stores. No one. Let me repeat. No one. And no, I did not go to five Dollar Generals yesterday looking for them.
    5) Michael Bay ruined my childhood.

Hopefully that covers whatever negative things people might say about the presentation. So now we can be positive for the rest of the thread!

Wow, I totally missed the memo, when did the B.B. prequel get moved to December??? ( or was it always there and I just wasn’t paying attention- TF movies have just usually come out around the 4th of July...)

Lol for Barry here. I don't know what's funnier. That this rumor is actually believable or that a disposable runt brainstormed purely for the "cool" factor might end as a Con equivalent to Bee or WB. :lolol

    >However, Transformers: The Last Knight toys did well for the company.

Yep, I’m gonna be “that guy”. This is rather surprising given the overall (awful and terrible) distribution of the toyline.

This was aimed at investors and references units sold to distributors, not individual's buying the figures at Walmart.
They see sales as how many cases/assortments were bought by distributors.

Might be the move to create the more prominent Evergreen line and the unification of branding line wide. Of course, that's already moving in that direction but maybe this is the official implementation strategy?

Wohoo! More starwars toys coming to ross.

Seriously tho, they just keep repackaging the same toys. Gee I wonder why it's not selling so well.

These things have sounded the same for the past four years. Always claims that the brand is doing strongly (notably much more in foreign countries than in the US) and that despite blatantly obvious issues the Transformers movie toylines somehow remain profitable even though it's just Optimus and Bumblebee time and time again.
