Merchandising was the scapegoat for Symbionic Titan, it was cancelled because Genndy was leaving for another network and lots of blood turned bad all in one go.

Weirdly, I just had a weird movie dream just last night. I was watching a movie about the Solos and Skywalkers having thanksgiving dinner at a restaurant that was itself a spinoff of Jurassic Park, like they had a little dinosaur petting zoo outside and an enclosure of big ice age mammals in the lower level. Then the First Order attacked, the animals all got out, and at that point one of the giant animals in the lower level started chasing me, because at this point it wasn't a movie anymore.

i haven't listened to this one yet but i just found out the lq you read is my insane fever dream that i forgot i sent in and i'm so excited now.

EDIT: oh man, I know what vangelus is talking about with having dreams of movies that are memories of movies but also you kind of lived the movie, I've had a lot of those.

And I do have similar weird dreams reasonably often but most of them aren't quite on that level, which is why I felt compelled to share that one in particular.

also, i'm glad you support my dream getting made into some weird trippy arthouse anime.

also, also it's so weird to describe the scene of Optimus burning the frat house as I saw it, cause like, some of the main human cast of spies and whatever were in the frathouse but it was mainly just a frat party that had nothing to do with anything, so Optimus really was mainly just burning a bunch of innocent humans to death while under the impression he was avenging his dead friend.

It was also shot like a third person mech shooter like Armored Core, with the camera over his shoulder while he strafes around in the air just dousing everything in fire. It was pretty intense.

SECOND EDIT: I take umbrage with Seth removing Skids because IDW Skids fucking rules.

Regarding the Kenner Star Wars deal. The Netflix show 'The toys that made us' (recently released), covers the golden ticket of a deal Kenner had with Lucas. Lucas was shot down by every other toy company, including Hasbro. In a desperate move Lucas (someone managing the deal on Lucas behalf) set up that Lucas would get 2.5% of every toy sale, fox would get 2.5%, and Kenner would keep 95% FOREVER. However there was $10,000. safety to be paid to Lucas if sales for any year were low because of lack of movie or media. When Hasbro attained Kenner the deal with Lucas would have continued on but Hasbro didn't pay Lucas anything (Worst F$#k-Up Ever Hasbro). The deal was nullified and Lucas came to Hasbro like Vader making a Deal with Lando; "I've altered the deal, pray I don't alter it further".

Chris mentioned the C.O.R.P.S walmart [not Joes] line as crumby or something to that effect. For 98% of the figures from that line you would be correct, however they have two female figures that are leagues better than the T-crotched male figures. they're the same body with different heads and decos. They have 2-packs for $3 state-side. I highly recommend checking them out. I know you (Seth & Chris) both like Vitruvian H.A.C.K.S. The female sculpt is on equal level with those but doesn't cost $20+. [They have mid-torso swivels]

Not that you wanted an answer but I'ma give you a grossly oversimplified one anyway. I work as a bank examiner for a federal banking regulator in the States and the (primary) reason interest rates are low is because of something called an index rate, which is generally a rate set by a central bank (federal funds rate) or other entity which is the rate that banks tend to lend each other money at. Now, where this comes into play with Seth's bank account is that all bank, credit unions, and savings associations make money based on the net interest margin between what they can charge for a loan versus what customers will demand for their deposits or the cost of other funding sources (that the banks use to make loans). If the index rate is low then banks will tend to lower the rates they offer on deposits because they are forced to lower rates on loans due to competition.

TLDR; Rates are low because of space magic.

I started collecting The Corps! last year when those figures came out. I got both 3 packs they came in. Now I never see any different characters at Walmart but if they put out more,I'll get them.

Hey, thanks for the name mention, that was a nice surprise! I did indeed do an Oil Slick in CyKill colors back when I was doing that digibash thread. And yup, it's a great mold. I miss Animated.

Oh, and backing up a few episodes, I 100% agree with Seth that "Dare" is a much better song than "The Touch." My 5-year-old loves it too, despite never even having seen the TF movie... he finds it on my phone and plays it whenever given the chance.

Late response here, but that wasn’t Google Translate. I took four years of French in high school and remember just enough to be silly. At any rate, I really enjoyed the Targetmaster conversation and MakeToys Point Blank is, for the record, very cool.
