I think this is the model kit.

 

No this is the Kara Kuro Kuri one, so the action figure: I opened a thread yesterday for him but mods merged it in the model kits one

Let me have a look at it.

 

Fixed, this is indeed the action figure, on the same line like previous Drift, Tarn and IDW Star Saber. Since the designer is the same person, they look very similar but this is not the model kit seen before.

 

Overstyled just to be overstyled.

 

The design with the black outline looks much better than the design they are actually using imo.

Doesn't matter, these aren't for me. The price and lack of transformation prevents me from getting too excited. I get excited wherever I see that tarn and starsaber though, they look incredible.

Well, you confused them, because that's the model kit prototype. All we've seen of this Optimus so far is the line art.

 

That's what I thought too. It was confusing when we had two different Optimus Primes with the same design (maybe? I'm not sure) from the same company but now I'm completely confused!

 

This actually looks good. The model kit does not. Nice try with the model kit though. I wish these were cheaper. I'm glad for Toy Alliance stuff. I wish they would tell us how they justify the $300 price tag for Drift. The Ori Toy version is still for sale also, so I don't know.

Then why use three pictures of it, including as the thumbnail of the other supposed toy you're reporting about?

I'm sure you think you're saying something really profound here, but I have no idea what that means.

 

There's two completely different Primes, the more normal looking action figure, and the stylized model kit with the axe. This article's about the former but has pictures of the latter for no reason.

Yeah, I got that - I should have made it clearer: I was really confused at first and then I worked out what was happening based on comments (plus the designs look a bit different, and I assume they'll stay that way).
