Time for a new gallery. Broadside is one I've waited on for a while, and now he's here, he's a nice addition to my lineup. Not perfect, but fun all the same, and hey - we've got all three Autobot triple changers in Classics now.

Titans Return Broadside, robot mode. I like the sense of bulk Broadside carries with him. He feels like a heavy, powerful robot.

What I always appreciate in photoshoots is a pic of the updated against the original G1. Makes you realize how far we've come!

 

Get the reprolabels set for him if you can afford it. It's fantastic, and it should actually hold up - unlike the stickers Broadside came with.

 

I honestly love this guy. Yes he has issues but his robot mode is just gorgeous, and the aircraft carrier mode is a lovely update of the G1 design. While he may be stuck using fanmodes for his jet configuration I\'d still call him a winner overall, and he fits in nicely with his fellow Wreckers.

Oh and he has a 5mm peghole on his crotch. That means you can peg in TLK Leader Megatron\'s fire effects for some immature fun. 

 

A shelfwarmer that can turn into a literal shelf.

Still like the guy, but my lord is he the next Inferno/Scavenger.

 

Broadside is a good figure. It's nice seeing characters that don't really get used a lot get new toys.

 

If you flip the Fan mode jet over, and put the rear runway flap down, you can get a pretty deccent tidal wave looking alt mode

 

I think I'm one of the few fans of his official jet mode!

 

IMO Broadside is one of those characters that would benefit from a less faithful G1 adaptation. I wish it had been more like early CHUG, more experimental or updated. Like B-52 bomber and Coast Guard cutter rather jetfighter/aircraft carrier. An aircraft carrier is basically a floating city; it might be interesting to see him re-imagined as a city-bot.

But I bet most people are happy to see him as a voyager aircraft carrier.

 

I haven't opened this one up yet, so I appreciate the pics. Didn't even know about the little Aerialbots.

Awww, I was hoping for a re-enactment of the dropped on Devastator's head scene from season 3.

Overall, great photos! And this figure itself has really grown on me since getting it!

I've looked on eBay for him and Springer. I, sadly, haven't found any good deals.

 

I hope one day we get a more traditional Sandstorm that isnt a retool of Springer.

 

I'd like to see some 3P make VTOL fan assemblies that plug into the holes on either side of his aircraft carrier mode. Along with the fins near the front, it would make a pretty sweet helicarrier type vehicle. Find a way to incorporate them in other modes and you're golden.

 

I like it too!

I see it more as a spacecraft than as a fighter jet.

 

You should take a short trip to WA. Broadsides dominate shelves like the bayformers.
