@Tony_Bacala I'm going to read your thoughts soon, but I just wanted to let you know the smokestacks can extend a bit further

Only other error I can identify is not swinging out the dark grey bits (second half) of his smokestack pipes that store in his toolbox in robot mode. I've seen people not bother with them at all because on some copies (mine included) it doesn't line up/swing out all the way. Gonna take an X-Acto knife to it soon to give it the right clearance

Please make sure you know what to expect when committing to this figure. Though I love it, and had no problems paying 15 USD over its retail price, there are some things to be aware of such as the misassembled top reversed blue roof hinges (all copies have shown this mistake), and of course the infamous tabbing issue. I still have ongoing mods before I can build this figure to my specifications, whereas MPM-3 only needs one non-mandatory partswap procedure

It\'s pretty incredible how close to the movies these figures get, considering how there was no real logic to thier transformerations..
I curious how this one looks side by side with the original 2007 movie toy

He is one of better movie prime figure he is sleeker and slimmer compared to leader class figure that most people had trouble transforming if I knew what I knew now I buy this movie master piece prime get rid of other movie primes except for last knight prime different look of truck mode and bot mode not all transformers figures are perfect everyone of them come with problems one way and another

If you watch video review on this figure first yeah I say it's good decision to make alone but make one not watching video almost not worth deciding on

Yeah it is true but by emgo he found solution without modification to figure itself to transform truck mode with no gaps in hood

I've seen copies not work even with Emgo's method, so it's a classic your mileage may vary. I will admit his method did significantly help my copy

Did a couple quick shots addressing those issues so there is a representation of it proper in there.

I hard smushed the cab too so it's tabbed a bit better but it pops out of place easily.

Sweet pics but you put the swords into the wrong wrists. I agree with your gripe about the colors being off. I just pulled out my original ROTF Leader Prime and it has a much darker blue. Same comparison can be made for MPM Bumblebee and the original deluxes.

My 2 did not work with the emgo method either.

@Tony_Bacala can you tell me the number embedded into the back of the box on the bottom? I saw it in the gallery but couldn't make out what it was. It might also be printed on a blue piece on 1 of the legs.

I too, wish this figure had darker red/blue. The red and blue here remind me of the Target exclusive 2007 Robovision Prime.

Honestly, I've come to terms with most of my grievances with this thing, since hoping for it to be 100% accurate would be almost impossible, and it's really just experimenting new techniques on the figure to see if it can surpass the ROTF Leader - which it doesn't in some areas, and does in others.

I'm in no rush to get this guy since I own the glorious APS01-U and several 3P add-ons for it, but he's still definitely on my want list.

Awesome shots, though I must inquire as to why the blades are upside down.
