Our coverage of Hascon 2017 continues and we bring you pictures of the ceremony of the Transformers Hall Of Fame 2017 New Inductees: Susan Blu And Lorenzo Di Bonaventura.

Susan Blu is well remembered for fans as the voice of G1 Arcee, but she has got a great career as voice director in series like Beast Wars or Transformers Prime among others. She recieved 2 Titans Return Arcee figures as a gift, one per each mode.

Lorenzo Di Bonaventura is the producer of the five live action movies, and he has been an important part of this universe. Mr. Di Bonaventura got both Masterpiece Movie Optimus and Bumblebee.

Honestly, as much as a lot of us harp on Lorenzo, he deserves a lot of glory too. If it weren't for him, we probably wouldn't have all the new stuff we have now. Or at least TFW would still be here, but it'd be like Thundercats.ws. *throws gang sign up*

 

Lorenzo is a stain on this franchise.

 

About how many people were there?

 

Good for them. Both are influential figures for the brand and deserve their names in the hall.

 

Congrats to both. Well deserved.

Judging by the pictures, not many.

This whole HASCON thing seems like a ghost town.

 

Have you even heard about this guy? This is the man who didn't even want the robots to talk in the first film.

 

Source would be appreciated instead of angry fanboy hearsay.

Regardless, the movies Lorenzo has been part of have been a big part of the last 10 years of the brand, he's earned his spot fair and square.

 

Yeah, and humans built the transformers according to that guy.

He can't even keep his own continuity straight.

 

I'd like to point out he produced a movie before Transformers in which a robot DID talk:

I have heard of this guy, he's one of the guys who made my childhood and got me onto Transformers and if you didn't read the picture it said "opinion" so I don't want to have an argument over this.

 

Is this the source to the last statement or some kind of exploratory piece that shows Lorenzo didn't actualy do any work as producer of the last 10 years of film franchise? Because if not I don't see how it's remotely related to what I said much less an argument for why he shouldn't be added to the Hall of Fame.

Unless you want to argue he is somehow less important than "musician that let them use one of his songs in a movie" and "guy that voiced character once in one piece of media that has never been a landmark of the franchise" Lorenzo deserves it.

 

First off he never confirmed that humans built Transformers at all. He only implied which means it may not be true. There's a massive difference between confirming and implying. If you're going to rip the man a new one at least make sure you know what he's really talking about first.

Also regardless of who Bonnaventura is he DID make a massive impact on the brand no arguments there and ignoring that would be a disservice.

 

Let's get rid of him and see how well the franchise does then, because things have been going downhill with the films and he's the only constant at this point.
