Wow, I did not think we were ever gonna see this design revisited again. Here's hoping it's better done that the Xovergen version.

Pictures seem to imply the trailer combined with the small robot to make a super robot, Ultra Magnus style.

Now this in an oversized weijang version would be great with my Mega Bloks GI Joe customs!

Hope this does better than the last figure of this design. They couldn't give those away

Kind of a neat design, but don't see how it fits into my collection.

Now if we could get a comic-accurate Nova Prime I'll happily open my wallet.

Proportions aren't right. It's too tall. Don's art is heaps sleeker. I'll keep an eye on it though because a great Rolling Thunder Optimus should exist in toy form.

And for comparison and giggles, here is Xovergen's attempt. It looks ok on its own merits, but as a Rolling Thunder based on Don's design, it's a fail.

I'd add this to my Optimus shelf, but only in traditional Prime colors, not green.

    Now this has my attention.

As for scale: I seriously hope they'll make it compatible with Diaclone Reboot. It feels like a match made in heaven.

That's pretty cool. I had the Rolling Thunder as a kid (I think that's the actual name of the Joe vehicle this is inspired by).

I loved the Rolling Thunder, still had it long after all my other Joe toys were gone. And while I would love a new modernized version---I'm not too enthusiastic about it being "just Prime's alt-mode". Give me a new Rolling Thunder playset--not a weird version of Prime that looks like it.

What a bizarre choice. I like it though.
