This is good, but it'd be better if it were AOE Watanabe Drift.

Is this a licensed, transforming figure?

With transforming versions of the character coming out from third parties that capture the character just as well or better (and have more features and accessories), one has to wonder what the market is for this guy.

Did no one read the placard? Fifty joints. Diecast and LED features. Officially licensed by Hasbro and distributed via Bluefin. I'm interested in the price. Depending on cost I'd bite. I've always wanted a highly articulated non-transforming line of Transformers.

This. Drift looks great. A tad too Gundam-ish in the legs, but it's not a deal-breaker for me. Price is the deciding factor.

Art storm (I think) made a really nice Prime, Grimlock and alpha trion but for some reason cancelled the line. I was all in but I think non-transforming transformers are a tough sell.

This is going to be more like a Bandai produced Soul of Chogokin figure, So...lots of posability, diecast, light up feature and a hefty price point.

    ^This right here.

Artistically I think that's actually kind of how Drift and a lot of others were being drawn by IDW at the time. Price is definitely going to be a factor for me. I'm expecting something akin to SoC.

Yeah, I remember those. They had also shown off an Arcee and Elita-One, but those were never released. Shame because I would have bought all those too.
