You could've reissued the G1 molds Hasbro...

But instead you choose to release an outdated Classics mold and two Junkions who look nigh-identical.

I mean, the set isn't bad I guess but it had so much potential to be better than what it actually is. Colour me disappointed.

Probably a fun set, especially with a fixed Wreck-Gar. But while it is a Platinum set, I'm still done with that Rodimus mold.

...if pleasantly surprised they're calling him Hot Rod.

The entire Platinum line is based on disappointment.

Why would they though? If we're talking "outdated" then, well, G1 molds win that any day. I mean, sure, Hot Rod isn't too bad, but Wreck-Gar, uh, yeah...

Plus, you can't shove two G1 Wreck-Gars on one another. You can here

I'd love for another G1 rodimus reissue but I think this looks cool for those that don't have these molds.

I meant updated by Classics standards. G1 molds would at least be more deserving of the high price than 3 average Joe deluxes, two of which are the same mold.

Nice for even more Junkions troop building, but I really don't want or need any more versions of these molds. :)

I like the Wreck-gar mold better than that Hot Rod mold- although that does look like one of the better decos it's had. I've had problems with that Hot Rid from the day he was released.

I think so, but I'm not positive from these photos.

Nice to see they figured out how to get the name Hot Rod Back, and his deco is much better than the Classic toy, and more Junkions army. We need more cheap Junkion heads out there. Sadly I bet the price won't be $30-45, which is what they are worth.

    $110 Canadian? Oh dear lord!

It's a nice idea for a set but I have a feeling the price tag isn't going to match well with what's being offered. Now if it used the G1 molds or had an entirely new Rodimus mold that'd be one thing, but an outdated deluxe and two junkions isn't worth anything over $50.

Nice to have more Junkions for army building but I definitely don't want yet another Classics Hot Rod.

Neat, so this is a 86 Movie anniversary item. Wonder what else Hasbro has planned.

I think I have 10 Junkions already, so I don't know if that means I have to get this to hit a dozen or can safely pass. Hmm. I like the new decos, though. That Rodimus doesn't move the needle for me at all. I'm probably in at $55 or less . . .
