Has any one heard if green grimlock is meant to be an homage to the green grimlock from the "original" robots in disguise cartoon?

Honestly, that would be the only way I could see it making any sense, aside from the recent trend of making Transformers resemble Power Rangers (Prime/Red, Bee/Yellow, Bulk-hound/Green, etc....)

The panel should be interesting. I imagine we'll likely get a premiere date for the show, or at least the month. Some character info wouldn't be bad, and maybe an explanation for there being so many Decepticons with animal themed bot-modes.

Some toy reveals would be nice, but I'm not expecting there to be too many more. Not till Toy Fair anyways. Info on what that gray Grimlock prototype would be nice. As well as how the play on releasing Fix-It.
Part of me wants to believe that's the case. We get so few RID references. That said, I think it has more to do with AoE Grimlock being kinda green, and the recent trend of the bulky/fat Autobot on the team being green. Like Bulkhead in Animated and Prime and Hound in AoE.

Edit: Outside of maybe wrapping things up, or talking about how this year went, I doubt they'll bring up AoE at all. I think our best bet for them talking about Stinger at all, is if he's brought up durring a Q&A session.

Or maybe they're taking some creative liberties with their toyline and figured that with a primarily dark/grey/black cast of Decepticons they should keep the Autobots in brighter colors to avoid confusion while watching.

Still find it hilarious we complain that it's all too dark and grey in the Bay movies and then when they make things more colorful we complain about that.

Maybe someone can ask if there will be any Voyagers for the RID lin in the future at last and perhaps other questions like why are most of the Decepticons on the show more animalistic then in Prime. Was Shockwave responsible for that? Also about is this a show about Grimlock growing into being the future leader of the Dinobots?

I guess that's it for the Age of Extinction Generation line. My hopes for a Deluxe Stinger are in the trash.

I remember a teal, blue, and yellow tiger stripe G2 Grimmy. I'd like to see this link to a green one. Couldn't find above in the thread.

I'd be surprised if they make any voyagers. The seemed pretty clear that they were reserving the 'traditional' deluxe/voyager/leader sizing system specifically for Generations from now on, which is presumable why the deluxe sized figures in the RID line are classified as 'warriors'. No reason why they'd not show us the equivalent size class to voyager from the start if they're going to do one. It's clear that they're doing what's done with a lot of toy brands by offering all the character in a variety of sizes (and therefore price points) rather than the old way of each character only available in one size class (or occasionally two) as has been a peculiarity of Transformers for many years.

Fans of what? The show, the franchise as a whole or themselves? I'm assuming the former...but I'd believe it if it were the latter, too...
