Has anyone been to Hershey Park in Pennsylvania? It's really fun there! You have Chocolate World, rides out of the wazoo, and a water park to swim and such. I went there for a class trip and I rode The Great Bear (my fave coaster) four times lol

Yeah a friend was in the park that day. She said once the wait time hit 6 hours they stopped letting more people get in line. This blows my mind. Isn't that ride pretty much just a redressed Maelstrom?

According to the wiki page, the ride layout is slightly different. Based on the short ride synopsys, the 'different' bit is they probably removed the one flume drop and the part where you go backwards.

So pretty much it's a lazy river ride in a log through Frozen. Short of the actual set pieces being state of the art stuff (which ruined Test Track), the only reason I can imagine people spending a fourth of the entire day in line for such a dull ride is for the kids.

Granted, if it drew THAT much of a crowd, it probably really boosted EPCOT's numbers as the biggest attraction 'opening' it had gotten in years.

I have been there twice, and I'm going again in two weeks with my cousin. He basically works at its smaller sister park, so he gets in for free with one other person. I agree about The Great Bear being awesome. I also highly enjoyed their wooden roller coasters. I think it was Skyrush that was the scariest though because the restraining bars are so low that it feels like you are going to fall out.

The only real theme park I've been to is Lego Land, and that was a long time ago. Don't remember much about it apart from the miniature village and the dragon rollercoaster. It was a very happy memory though.

Follow up on Frozen rode at Epcot: Rode it on Monday. They did keep the backwards sections and the drop. The redecoration was very well done. My daughter's enjoyed it immensely. Soarin' around the world was also good. My highlight, though, was the Star Wars nighttime show at Hollywood Studios. Giant spotlights being used as lightsabers in the sky? Yes, please.

My god... It's like a loved one having an execution date.

Look. I care about few things in this world. There are family members who I care less for than this ride. The imagination, the story, the atmosphere, the just perfection wrapped in pure delicious nostalgia. And it's getting replaced...

This truly has made me seriously consider never going to Disney again. I love both Disneyland and world but this isn't okay.

Note that this is only the Disneyland tot. The Hollywood studios one is safe for now. GOTG is going to epcot now.

I heard the Disneyland one was not as good as the Disneyworld version.

The Florida one should remain safe for as long as Universal has Marvel Superhero Island. Due to contracts, Disney is not allowed to have any permanent Marvel attraction in the Orlando area. I always hoped that Universal would just change everything to be DC Superhero Island. Then they have Batman and Superman. They can then make a really fast Flash-themed rollercoaster. Then, Disney could make a movie themed Marvel Land with attractions like Stark Tower and a helicarrier.

That'd be swell and totally doable if the DC rights weren't owned by Six Flags.

    But there's always Image...right?

When does it officially close? If it is opening next summer they sure don't have a lot of time to change it to the way the concept art looks like

GOTG and Big Hero 6 are not part of that deal and Disney can use them at Disneyworld if they want.
