While I think replacing the ToT for some hamfisted GotG crap is a mistake - the scenery design is simply one of the most outstanding of any ride in all of the Disney parks, as are the numerous TZ homages found before, after, and even during (pretty sure there's a certain slot machine or something in the pile of luggage seen right before the exit doors) - it sounds like it's just a ride retheme and not explicitly a total replacement, as well as isolated only to the California installation so if it proves to be underwhelming they can always just switch it back by popular demand.

Unlike how they fucked over Star Tours - it did NOT need the overbearing 3D crap replacing the live action videos nor kicking Rex out to queue line duty in favor of CP30 bumbling about as usual.

To be perfectly fair, it's a ride called the "Tower of Terror" that's an elevator drop ride. They kind of had to roll with the horror aspect inherent in those things.

Even the non-Twilight Zone themed version in Japan still involves a horror aspect of a pissed off idol god - and that's saying something given the Japanese version of Haunted Mansion is actually just touring an eccentric British relic collector's house that comes to life, because the whole "death" part of Haunted Mansion was deemed not suitable for Japan.

I went to Disneyland a couple of weeks ago, and man! My equilibrium isn't what it used to be. I did have fun, although I wish I could have stayed for the fireworks. Their wait time line app worked wonders!

Dude, it's The Wizarding World of Harry Potter. At least call it "The Wizarding World" or "Potterland".

The new Frozen stage show opened at the Hyperion theater in Disneyland California Adventure today.
I really feel like Disney is shoving everything Frozen down our throats right and left. That and I am going to miss the Aladdin show that played there for 12 years!
They even stopped production on a show a few years ago (that had already premiered in the Florida park) because it didn't match up to the wonderful production that was Aladdin (the failed production was a Toy Story musical)

Yeah, Frozen has been all the rage lately at the parks, but who can blame them? Frozen is super popular.

Besides, the craze has already died down allowing other attractions to go back to their pre-Frozen looks. That is, except for the Muppet's Show.

    Kermit deserves better.

As for Aladdin leaving- Meh. It was an amazing stage show, but twelve years is a long run.

Since when the hell was a one day ticket to universal 95 bucks per person? I mean, I managed to get three people into magic mountain for roughly 150 a couple years ago and Knotts even less! I cannot afford 100 per person! What a load of bullshit!

Hoo boy. Not only is this rich Chinese company too lazy to come up with its own characters, it's also too cheap to produce decent costumes for its theme park workers.

Disney Vows to Defend Rights as Snow White Appears at Wanda Park

I'd like to think Disney is gonna fry them with copyright infringement legislation, but am not sure there are such protections in China for foreign companies.

US has been like that for a while now. I suppose it's the going rate of a Disney-like experience.

However, once you factor all the up-charges needed to enjoy Magic Mountain it costs about the same...
