    Any rides you hate? WDW Dinosaur/DL Indiana Jones (I presume Indy since it's the same track/ride vehicle) I'm 6'2" and I don't exactly have the most padding. My back and knees were sore all day after riding that. Once. Never again.

    Any non thrill type rides you love? Soarin'

    That's what I heard. Of the two times I've been at the Point, I never rode it, but from what I've heard the que line gradually lost everything that made it cool (namely they removed some talking robot who would later make a cameo as a prop some haunted toy factory setting) and it was just a dark, neon-lit cavern by the end;
    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=x7Jmb-9UlGs

    The problem with that idea is twofold;

    1. When it was built in 1965, it was the third copy of that model of observation tower to be constructed. It closed in mid-August 2012, one of the oldest "modern" rides in the park (as in it was older than every single roller coaster in the park save for Bluestreak which is barely a year older). I think cited reasons for its removal were that it was becoming increasingly unreliable, spare parts were hard to locate and/or fabricate, ridership decline due to the lack of on-board air conditioning, and of course the liability should the near-50 year old ride spontaneously turn into a deadly freefall drop.

    2. Moving it was not an option. Sure, they did it with the ferris wheel when it swapped sides so that Millenium Force could be built on its old site, but the foundation for Space Spiral would require a large area that simply didn't exist as a possibility elsewhere. In fact, they literally could not dismantle any part of the main ride, tower or the elevator car itself. They had to go and implode the base as their only option.

    While I love the "big" parks like Disney and Six Flags, I also love the smaller ones. We've got one here in OKC called Frontier City that I went to a few times as a kid, and several years ago visited again. It's not as spectacular as some of the other places, but I find I enjoy the smaller park vibe, too.

    As far as rides go, I do love a few different roller coasters, but I actually think my favorite are the rapids rides. I have fond memories of a trip to Six Flags with my dad and brother shortly after they opened Roarin' Rapids, and going to breakfast the next morning and the money in my dad's wallet STILL being wet. They're pretty much the first thing I go for at any theme park, if they have them(and if anyone knows of some really good ones, feel free to share!).

    Wait, they demolished the Observation tower in 2012? wow, so I rode it during its final season...
    One could buy 3D Glasses (or bum a pair off a disembarking rider) to enhance the experience.... Though like you said, Neon Cavern... Would've been nice for a Rave.

    From what I heard about those is that they pretty much were like goggles and did nothing.

    Though speaking of Neon Lights and raves...have this unrelated picture of a robot man at a rave

    For the most part, no, they were your standard "3D" Glasses you can buy from any dimestore retailer (they had that same stupid "Everything is a rainbow" effect in sunlight. I think they'd be called "ChromaDepth") but they did enhance a few of the scenes in the front part of the Queue line (Right before the "Vehicle assembly building). There was a Checkerboard pattern painted on the ground/Floor and the glasses would give the blue boxes in the pattern (made brilliant by nearby Blacklights) depth. There was a wall-painting in the queue of a big-ol' Warehouse (Kind of like the one at the end of Raiders of the Lost Arc) the Glasses gave that depth, too.

    Wait there's an Avatar themed land coming to Disney?? Huh...wasn't that keen on the film, but I imagine the environment could look spectacular, surprised it's going to Disney though and not Universal. Weren't Disney going to expand the Animal Kingdom into "Beastly kingdom", with fantasy animals such as Dragons? What happened to that?

    The Avatar area is being built where the Beastly Kingdom was going to be. They ended up not doing it largely because of budget cuts. The Disney Wikia has an article about it, including some references that still exist in the current park.

    If they call pull off the Avatar area, that would be fun. And given how Star Tours alone tugs at my inner child, I can only imagine what a full Star Wars section of the park would be like.

    They got rid of camp minnie, tarzan rock, and lion king stage show and to make it.

    They did and universal rejected it! Disney got it after TURNING DOWN HARRY POTTER!!! (now listed as one of the dumbest things disney has done in 20 years!!) Yes disney rejected harry potter at the park and universal grabbed it! It's as dumb as when cartoon network rejected spongebob!

    Here you go.

    If anyone goes to Cedar Point and enjoys roller coasters I HIGHLY recommend the Fast Lane plus pass. It turned an hour and a half wait into a tolerable 15 min wait. I rode everything there that had a rail in under 5 hrs. Cedar Point is such an amazing Amusement Park for all ages.

    I'm at pittsburgh. We have kennywood and idlewild. Idlewild is more of a kids park and is famous for having the mr Rodgers trolley ride. I go to Kennywood more it has some good coasters. I also been to Hershey, Cedar point and kings island. I'm having a trip to Hershey next week. I hope the weather is nice.

    Yes, though it's not exactly cheap and the price varies depending on the day. BTW it was actually a few bucks cheaper to get it directly at the park than online.

    I like that they have it- for someone like me, I'll probably only get to once every 5 or 6 years (I live in Florida). I'd rather not miss out on any of the coasters, and by limiting the amount available, they make sure the regular queue lines don't end up with excessive wait times.

    I have an idea for a replacement for Disaster at Universal Florida: Disaster featuring Sharknado, starring Ian Ziering.

    Universal studios Florida already has a Tornado-themed attraction, It's called "Twister... Ride it out" and I'm really doubtful they'd re-theme Twister after Sharknado, If anything, they'd probably replace Disaster! with an attraction based on the improbably destructive megaquake seen in the film 2012
