Anti-virus programs?

well my trial thing of trend micro runs out soon and i need to find a new virus program and since we use norton, and I dont like it what other options are there out there that are good? I've tried AVG but it really messed up my old comp when we used it so I am probably going to avoid it. Anyway any help would be apprecated thanks...

Some other popular free alternatives AVs include:

Kaspersky - http://www.kaspersky.com/

Avast - http://www.avast.com/

NOD32 - http://www.nod32.com/

Personally I use Avast myself.

I use AVG on both my comps and no real problems. Except, it does slow down other programs you are using at the moment while it's scanning for viruses.
