My mother just finished her Christmas Shopping for me. She got me "Transformers: Exodus" by Alex Irving. It cost us $8.00 from Barnes & Noble.
Just have one gift left and I'll be done. Unfortunately it doesn't get released in stores until at least the 21st Friggin' Les Miserables Soundtrack
In this day and age everyone has to snoop and I had to help my mother with the ordering sence my father was in bed at the time.
Geez, you must have been the kids who couldn't wait to open their Christmas presents early. You know what they say, "It's always better to receive than give."
Do not worry, it'll come.......One Day More....Another day, another destiny... I'm nearly done with the Christmas gifts shopping, but I've still got the food to buy before that day comes, and after the meal, back to work.
i got my 2 items in the mail today that i want to give to my baby nephew, they are mini plush toy, 6 inches in height, optimus prime and megatron.
1. must of my xmas presents were bought by Me. 2. as i am a collector i always need to be sure they dont get me a figure i already own. (it happened to me in 2009, i had a rotf Springer since may, but my uncle bought another rotf springer. so i need to be sure what they are getting to me. so i dont have a duplicate) but i mainly ask for money. so i can buy the fig myself. but my dad and mom do buy me some stuff that arent money, but again i have to tell them who to get. so i dont get a duplicate otherwise they wasted money on something i already own. other thing is that the presents are always unwrapped. we wrap them when we get paper even if we already know what it is. last year we didnt even unwrapped a single present. everything was unwrapped.
Did you not see the end of my post? I really didn't ask for much (actually, I only asked for three new things, the other two were stuff I get every year), so she just dragged me out, I pretty much had no choice, I just picked out a hoody that looked kind of nice and I know i'll wear. I did find a hoody and a whole buch of other stuff (DVDs, Books) on amazon that I liked, but they never got the e-mail I sent so it's too late now
God, first evergamer, now eagc7? Do you realize that the whole point of Christmas shopping is to buy gifts for other people, not yourself? Didn't anyone teach you Christmas values? Moreover, you shouldn't have to ask your folks to buy specific Transformers for you when there are countless non-TF gifts with which they can surprise you on Christmas morning. At least I can appreciate ILoveDinobot; sharing your creativity is more thoughtful that just sharing money.
Well thing is... i am not really a generous guy, plus stuff are really expensive here, and with that my greed takes the best of me. if i lived in USA, then i could buy stuff for my relatives cause they arent expensive there, i would like one day to give to my relatives, but since all stuff are expensive here. sooooo. plus nobody here minds that i buy for myself only. everyone is okay with it. they dont even ask me for buy anything for them. they dont even ask my siblings, they only ask to my parents True, but my hobby are mainly the transformers. i buy marvel figs too. but with that i also have to be sure they dont get me a duplicate, same goes with Books, DVDs/Blu-rays and Games, so there cant be surprises with me, i need to tell them who to get.
It's not like we're saying "WE SHOULDN'T GIVE TO OTHERS" or "I ONLY WANT TO BUY FOR MYSELF". I feel you're too focused on your Christmas values.
Finished my Christmas Shopping this past weekend with "Lego Batman 2: DC Superheroes". Everyone else in my family (Save for my Half-Brother) has received their respective gifts for one reason or another already.
I'm with you. At Christmas, it's not about the getting, it's about the giving. I didn't always get exactly what I wanted at Christmas time, but I always appreciated it. I never understood the point of buying one's own Christmas presents...it's supposed to be a surprise. Kids these days...
for me, i already explained why. but again its really a big deal if he or she buys for himself/herself or already knows what he/she will get?. nope its not a problem. if someone wants to buy for himself/herself or already knows then just let them do what they do/be what they are. it doesnt cause any harm or anything like that
