Well, people in this thread are certainly missing the point of the story, as is the headline. I suppose that's par for the course for CTV news.

The women were not arrested because they had hairy legs, they were arrested on pretext of being protestors, and singled out from the general population because they had hairy legs. Because dirty hippie girls don't shave their legs, right? And all dirty hippies must be protestors up to no good, right? Ergo, all women with unshaved legs must be protestors up to no good. Oh, and while they were being arrested, the police allegedly "copped" a feel and made offensive comments before carting them off to a detention centre with conditions that may or may not have failed to even meet the standards of the Geneva convention.

Basically the G20 protests were an ugly, ugly shit show, this is one more example of people who were allegedly abused filing legal greivances, and it's going to be going on for a while. But I really can't go into it without violating the politics rule.
