I indulge in Skrillex from time to time.

Rush and RATM are excellent bands.

She is fantastic.

The best music can come from a Movie or Video Game soundtrack.

Didn't we have one of these threads recently? I seem to remember another thread like this where people were trying to pass off "I hate mainstream music" as an 'unpopular' opinion. Anywho...

- I can't stand most music from the 50s through the 70s. I'm sure some of it is objectively good, but my parents played an 'oldies/classic rock' radio station constantly when I was younger and I've long since gotten sick of the most popular songs from that era.

- "Imagine" is a terrible song. Annoying tune and insipid lyrics, with the worst being the hypocritical "Imagine no possessions/I wonder if you can"...I wonder if you can, John, with your luxury apartment, massive wealth and tons of stuff. There's a reason Elton John, in jest, came up with alternate lyrics "Imagine six apartments/It isn't hard to do/One is full of fur coats/The other's full of shoes"

- I don't mind Nickelback in small doses.

- I preferred Metallica's music during the era spanning the Black Album through S&M and don't care for their earlier stuff.

- Other than that "CRAAAAAAAWLIIIIIING IN MY SKIIIIIIIIN" song, Linkin Park's first two albums were really good and hold up quite well.

- If you don't like what's on the radio, or radio airplay is killing a song for you...then stop listening to the radio. I did; worked wonders.

- We Are The Fallen > Evanescence

- I prefer studio albums to live albums and/or recordings of concerts. And I hate going to concerts.

Definitely this. Some of his more humorous songs are great but I can't stand listening to him whine about his ex-wife, his mom, his ex-wife's mom, his mom's ex-wife or whatever. And I'd rather not hear anything about his daughter either.
