Little things that annoy you...

What are some little things that bug you?

Discovered one that drove me up the wall the other day. I had been setting up my DVR to record a show and was scrolling through the guide and saw A Family Affair*. I was bored so I looked at the episode listings and saw one was a family member in Indiana wants to take the kids in. Well given I live in Indiana I wanted to see what happened and what city it was. Well it was Terra Haute. It is pronounced with a HOE sound in Haute. In the show they kept calling it Terra HUT. I kept talking back "Terra HOE-T you little moron!" It really got under my skin for some reason. i live about an hour and a half away from there so I know how to pronounce it. They are supposedly FROM there and yet they say it wrong.



*For those who never saw it, it was a late 60s TV show where three kids (A Teen girl and twins (boy and girl) are orphaned and go to live with their uncle in NYC. The uncle has a butler, Mr. French who kind of becomes a nanny in the process. It is sadly famous now be cause the young girl later ODed at 18.

Whenever people use apostrophes in plural words. It's "pencils", goddammit, not "pencil's".

That's why you dump four or five sheets of toilet paper onto the water before you drop a deuce. Stuff acts to cushion the shit and prevents it from splashing the water onto you. Problem solved.

I used to do that whenever I peed in public toilets, so no one could hear the tinkle. Now, I couldn't care less, so just tinkle away.

I don't poop because I am a lady......

I get annoyed when people fart in elevators or the car or other enclosed spaces and don't seem to give a shit that I have to breath it in.

You should. It's toilet water and therefore full of germs.

technically, so is bath water. I am sure most of us have scooped that up with our mouths to make a fountain Just me?......

I used to wee in my baths, shamelessly. I can still remember my brother and I at about 4 and 5 shouting out *geronimo* as we each took a whiz into the bath.
